Yeah, so did I. I really want to play the game and make the exact opposite choices I made the first time I played it. I'd like to see what happens. Unfortunately I don't have enough room on my hard drive for the game right now.
God of War is one of the most emotional action games I've ever played. Man, I felt so bad when
Aries impaled him with that pillar just as he was leaving the tower. The look on his face just said it all and the narration made me feel even worse.
. Then there's
the reveal that he was the one responsible for the death of his family
. Just heartwrenching stuff. Very emotionally driven game...Then there were all the monsters that scared the **** out of me and I dreaded fighting like the Minotaurs and Cyclops'. There was even MUSIC that started to play to scare you in advance.
I would have agreed with you if Kratos wasn't angry the entire game. Him being even more angry at Ares after he learned the truth really didn't have that great an impact.
I agree with those of you who said KOTOR. After
You find out your character is Revan
I was really shocked. I got emotional when trying to save Bastila. Plus the end conversation with Malak.
Revan saying something to the effect of "I may have set you on this path, but you chose to continue it"
had an effect on me. You almost feel bad for him then.
Underworld was a pretty emotional game. I cried for days that I wasted five bucks on it.
MGS are pretty emotional too....I'm surprised but angry that people actually treat Kojima as a genius with his overbearing plot, poor characters and ****ty dialogue.
Second. But everything in that game is perfect, so it's no surprise.
I was pretty invested in Jak II and III stories and characters as well.
Prince of persia Sands of time and Two Thrones. The first feels like it's really happening - it's story progresses so natural, so fluently.
In two thrones the Princes's banter with his "dark half" and the feeling that the prince my actually not win this one becouse he's been an ******* in the past really comes through.
Paraiste eve & parasie eve 2. had a good story. i liked no. 9 cause he was so crazy that you'd feel shaken whenever he would come up on screen. oh & to that poster that talked about the resident evil series, i agree with everything you said.
to this day, i will not play that game, cause its just to dang scary for me. but i think the clocktower series is alot scarier, cause your always getting chased by a guy with big scissors, or a demonic girl with a knife.

Legend of dragoon was emotional when whats his face died. Yknow the green dragoon guy. I can't remember his name it was too long ago.
But atleast his character was replaced.
I turned her back to the light side. lol. It's the only conversation in that game that immersed me entirely. And then it got all mushy when the love words got thrown around. But still, for some reason selecting the conversation option it felt like I was saying it and not selecting text. I rushed through the game in three days btw, so maybe it was just a trip. Still though, awesome, Bastila's hottness and I'd shut it off before my dood would kill her.
Anyhoo. Splinter Cell DA shall rule emotional experience.
Also I was very moved by Ada sacraficing herself for Leon in RE2. I thought it showed how far her character came. I feel RE4 sullied this somewhat though.
Let's see...definitely KotoR, Soul Calibur, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII and X. But I'd have to say Shenmue had me the most emotionally invested of all. Both the first and second.
also devil may cry 3. at the end when dante says "its time for me to wrap up this crazy party'' made me kinda sad. cause i knew it was the end of the game. & that i was going to miss this crazy character.
