Games that everyone else likes, but you don't

Final Fantasy, all of them.

GTA: San Andreas, I love the GTA serious but SA was a let down.

Any Tony Hawk game after 3.

If you read the first part it says GAMEPLAY REASONS. Meaning, I hate the way the game plays.

Thank god I'm not the only one.

And FYI - People are allowed their opinions. This is not a Game vs. Game thread. Comments arguing that someone does not like a particular game is contradicting the whole purpose of the thread.

San Andreas left me feeling weird. I liked the largeness of the game but that same largeness made me wonder if I was playing a GTA game. When I was doing the vehicle schools I forgot that I was playing GTA instead of Gran Turismo. Some of the missions were fun, but it didn't seem believable that a CIA agent would work with a guy from South Central.

I miss being able to change the paint jobs on cars in GTA 4 and would have liked a parachute so I could safely jump off some of the buildings or the Statue of Happiness, but at the same time, I'm glad Rockstar scaled things back

I just thought SA tried to do waaay too much. The rpg elements, the planes, the boats, the jet pack, owning houses, businesses, all the side stuff, the vast/empty map. It just felt so unfocused and scrambled. I am completely glad that Rockstar realized this and brought things back to the basics and made the very tight game that is GTAIV.

I am not against more fun things being added, but they have to be well thought out, unlike all the additions to SA.

Wow, that's one I didn't expect to see. What didn't you like about it?
Probably too thought provoking. :o

I hate hate HATE Gears of War. I loathe that stupid game. There is no story and there is nothing to set it apart from any other Sci Fi action game. It's a Resident Evil 4 rip-off.

I thought I was the only one who played it...
Do you mean "still"?
Dude... it was the game that changed console FPS's...
Everyone who had an N64 owned or at least has played it.

Call of Duty (everything past United Offensive)
Gears of War
Halo
Final Fantasy

Aside from the over the shoulder perspective, I can't really see how the two compare.

I hate the Wii altogether. I think it's a gimmick machine forcing developers to stay in the last generation.

Your arguments are so well thought out and classy. It's like you planned this all out the day before and spent the time between revising it to perfection.

Well it is my opinion. Its not like I said anything that was'nt based on some truth.

honestly, the Wii is the only console to achieve the "next-generation" status, imo. it brought something new to the table, while the other consoles just polished the graphics.
but the PS3 is advancing to the next level, now. I just got word that the Blitz Games Studios told yesterday that Sony licensed the Blitz Tech Engine to turn the PS3 into the first console capable of handling the 3D stereoscope in 2009.

I have a pair of those for pc gaming, they have been around for a while and they do work quite well. Although it's not "3d" like virtual reality or anything like that, it's more like several layers on top of each other going into the moniter. I believe they made a console version also although I'm not sure how well that works.

They have try'd a few times to market this 3d stuff.
