Not sure I'm following. The case for it being pre-determined pretty much states that the lifestyle cannot be chosen, as it is in your very nature to act to whatever genetic disposition you might have.

I simply cannot agree that both these lifestyles are one in the same. I've seen this first-hand with a close group of friends I had in high school, one of which despite being around the "straight" life, constant badgering of girls, and in a subculture that looks down upon being gay, ended up being a homosexual himself a couple years later. The rest of the friends did end up in a "ghetto" life in some form or another and are no longer in contact with said homosexual.

We can argue about their "code" all we want, the lifestyles are still both dangerous and violent.
