Gates of Fire?

Allo... has anyone else read Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield as well as 300? I haven't read the graphic novel (yet) though I'm drooling in anticipation of the movie.

If you've read both, do they compare at all? I'm currently being completely sucked in by Gates of Fire (of course, picturing the characters from the trailer) and am considering getting Frank Miller's book next...

Does anyone have any thoughts on the two?

I own 2 copiest: and 1 set of 300 and BY FAR GATES IS BETTER!!! I went to Pressfield's website and email him and I got a reply from him. Nice guy!!!

I'm at the part where they're just about to announce the 300... All-Sire force... suicide mission... soooooooooooo good. I couldn't put it down last night and as a result am a zombie at work today.
