Geeky Discussion 1: Star Wars vs Kingdom Hearts

so...I was playing kingdom hearts two right? And near the end there is an enemy who somewhat resembles a Jedi...only based on the look of his weapons ofcourse.

So my friend made an offshot comment "Man...Jedi's would tear into these guys...."

And I instantly called him insane. Considering the characters in the KH universe are able to destroy light and darkness...create worlds using them, travel to different dimensions with their weapons...cast magic....zip around like DBZ characters......I felt hat statement was ab it hindered.

Reading the Star wars novels myself I understand hat a Jedi has the ability to reach a new height o power...even come back from the dead....but still..this isn't convincing enogh for me to say "hey...you can beat Sora and his mystical blade that can cut kyscrappers in half (seriously it can).


So..I'm curious...I'm not a star wars buf but I do know many of you are. So I'm wondering....with your knowledge of Star Wars and Jedi's...and your Knowledge of the character basis within Kingdom Hearts. Who do you think would win? Who do you think has the potential to be more powerful?

 

Ok let's take Sora (The Main Character) and place him in the spot light.

Sora has a sword called "The Keyblade" Which chose him to be the guardian of all worlds. The Keyblade allows him to travel through reality, jump from Dimension to dimension, and also empowers his heart with a bey o mystical skills.

The blade is unable to leave his hand permamently. Meaning if someonetakes it from him with the intent of keeping it from him, it will literally instaneously reappear within his grasp.

Uhmmmm. His magic is powerful enough to warp reality....he has the ability to use his power to shift his form into something....more powerful. He has four of these forms.

Valor....which enables him to usetwo key blades at once, at blazing speed and increased strength.

Wisdom. Which removes gravity from his form, allowing him to glide across the surface of -anything- while using his keyblades (two in this form as well) as guns, shooting bursts of pure magic from their tips.

Master. Which imbues Sorawith Godlike potential. He is almost untouchable in this form. His keyblades are no longer held, and float behind the backs of his hands while revolving. He has the ability to pull light and darkness into attacks within this form. His magic is increased. His speed is increased. The boy can break rules that shouldnt be broken.

Anti-Form. This is the form I know least about. During the game when you feel you're about to die, and you decide to choose one of the three forms above to shift into..sometimes...somethingdemonic comes out. In this form Sora's Keyblade is replaced with claws about his hands as he is enveloped within pure shadow. His speed is insane as he runs across the area like a ferral animal. Also, he can dip in and out of heshadows, appearing wherever he wishes..using "threads" of darkness to propell his attacks and keep him aloft within the air. Also increases his Dark based attacks.


My main argument yesterday was "Jedi's can't defeat a man who is able to destroy a world with his heart"

lol Not at all. And thanks for the input. That allows me to expand moreo n Sora's abilities. When I say his heart can destroy a world, Let me go more indepth. he never actually had this happen, but it does have the potential to do so. At the end of the game, him and his best friend are Trapped in the world of Darkness. Unknowingly though, his heart created a door way to his home world. Also, in KH (The first) Events occur that help sustain the creation of a "mirror world"...which reflects anotherworld called "Twighlight Town".

Being that a light sabre is energy in sustained flux ...do you think the keyblade....which cannot be broken by any physical means..or destroyed for that matter (it returns to the user's heart at will or when they are incapacitated) Let's focus on abilities rather than physical battle.

Could a master jedi or the most powerful take on something that is able to summon creatures from alternate realities?

 

Mentok you disappoint me....but you're a green man sitting and floating in your underwear, so it's not that difficult to do so.

 

Mickey is more than just a Keyblade user. He's the Yoda of this game. He knows almost everything and is unstoppable in terms of sword play. His power hasn't been really detailed though.

 

Exactly my point. Sora is bound only by his imagination it seems as you get deeper and deepr into the game. Here's a discussion i had on aim with my friend who is also a Star Wars godlike reader man person.
