Alright, so I bought my BB DVD about a year ago, and it's starting to skip at some parts a bit. I don't notice any visible scratches on it, but was wondering if it's possible that it can get worn down from being watched too often, or if that's why it'd be skipping. I probably watch it more than any of my other DVDs, but after only a year I don't think I should have to get a new one. Should it be doing that?

Scratches? How do you handle your DVDs? I ask this because practically every single person I've known mishandles their DVDs/CDs by never putting them back in the case, leaving them out of the case lying around, disregard proper holding [fingerprints and marks]. Of course it could also be the dvd player itself. I've had DVDs that would skip and freeze in one but would work just fine in others.

It's likely a defect with the DVD itself, but it can also have something to do with the DVD player you are playing the DVD on as well. As I've experienced playing a DVD that skips on one player, but becomes skip free on another player one too many times.

It could be the DVD player, it is getting a bit old. I try to handle my DVDs well enough, for the most part. I put them back in their proper cases more often than not. I'll try seeing if it works on other players. Thanks for the advice.

ya check your dvd player.... some dvd players skip while others dont
