A few months ago when Circuit City was closing I bought some dvds. One of those dvds was Fargo. I just opened that dvd today, placed it into my dvd player, and what do I get? Disc 1 of the first season of "The Outer Limits".

This kind of thing has happened to me before when my brother bought me Firefly. Instaed of getting disc four I got another disc 3.

This happen to anyone else?

It's never happened to me when I buy a movie or game. It has happened a couple times when I rented a game at Blockbuster, thinking that the games behind the display copy are the same game.

Haha. I had the same thing happen. At least the store I bought it from still existed when I needed to exchange it.

I once bought a copy of the Glenn Ford/Sonny Chiba movie VIRUS.....but when I put it in the DVD player it was the Brian Bosworth movie VIRUS.

And yes, the disc was printed with the pic from the Glenn Ford movie.

I once bought Inventing the Abbotts on Amazon. The case was perfectly fine, but the disc was for that Richard Pryor movie The Toy. Not even close..

hmmm, never had this happen

and Betty Ross, be careful with Amazon.com, they're some slippery shady peoples sometimes. I've purchased brand new DVD's from them in the past, only to find them scratched on the bottom. Sure they've replaced them free of charge, but how does that happen?

only thing I could think of is they're "resealing" used dvd's and passing them off as new

Bought Band of Brothers a few months ago.

Got two copies of Disc 5. I wanted disc 6 and the special features, took it back to Best Buy, and they exchanged it.

They said it happens a lot.

This was like 4 years ago, I got a copy of Xenosaga Episode 2 from Gamestop, it was unopened, and the second disc was missing. I took it back to the store to tell them that there was no second disc in there and the lady who was working was being a real *****, accusing me of lying.(I don't know why I'd need another copy of a second disc to a game but whatever)

When I was younger my friend would rent sega games and swith the stickers around. They would catch on but he never had to pay for it just be banned from renting.

I had this happen with the compleat series of Bird of Prey ehich was put out by WB. I had been looking for this set for about a month or longer when I found it at a Best Buy about an hour away from my house. I get home and I open it and find two copies of disk 1, I was lucky that they let me return it to the BB that is only 30min away from my house. And as far as getting dvd and suck with the plastic being messed up. I've had this happen bunches of times at Wal Mart where who ever opened the box cut to deep. I even have one dvd that had the plastic the the box art goes behind with two cuts in it that come from WM. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for the fact that they had the best price on the dvd and they never got another copy in.

I have had episodes on my JL DVD's be on different discs in the set, thats my only DVD flaw.

I bought a pre-used copy of Jeepers Creepers from my local CVS and as I was walking home and opening it and it was nothing in there.:csad:

I wasl ike what the hell! I went back and told them and got my money back.

Did you ever find yourself another copy of BOP?

I was going to offer to burn the entire series for you on DVDR and mail that **** with the quickness free of charge but I realised, that's probably illegal as well

:woot:

It's happened usually when I've rented movies that the dumb employee gives me the wrong disc and it's especially confusing when the disc itself doens't have the cover art.

one time I rented Aliens (1986), I pop it in the player it turns out it was Alien (1979)

one time I rented the Psycho remake, the disc itself was the 1960 Hitchcock Psycho

one time I rented Ghostbusters 2 but it was the first Ghostbusters, and good think I checked it first in my car as I was leaving.

one time I rented the 2-disc Star Trek 2 and ended up with only the disc that had special features, luckily I returnded it without charge.

Yeah, gotta agree with hammerhedd. I wouldn't be shocked if the clerk intentionally put the Alfred Hitchcock version in there. Sounds like something I would do.

i bought nba 2k8 from gamestop and when i opened it, it was nba live 08.

Yeah I just exchanged it with no problem. Well no problem except the guy at the counter looking at me like I was stupid when I ask if I could switch the slip cases because the one the slip case on the set I returned was in way better shap the the one I was exchanging for.

Bought Scoop used. And when I opened it up it was that horrible movie See No Evil with that wrestler Kane. Took it back and they gave me the right disc.

That is the only time that ever happend to me.

one time, I bought Following (the first film by Chris Nolan) on ebay. The seller claimed it was in good condition.

When I got the DVD, the box was all scratched up and the worst part is the DVD was cover..with white nasty stains. Of course, my first reaction was the clean my hands.

I bought Pink Floyd's 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn', but when I played it I got the s/track to The Beatles 'Yellow Submarine', it had the Piper artwork on the CD so I now wish I had kept it as a collector's anomaly, instead I took it back and exchanged it.
