This is starting up on British TV next week and it looks pretty interesting. And it's made by the same people that did The Wire, which I love. So, what's it like?

I liked it. Some dislike it because of the supposedly inaccurate portrayal of what a Marine should be and because of a lack of action scenes. Which is ****in stupid.

1. These guys aren't going to be gun-ho patriotic meat heads 24/7/365. They're going to get in their guy talk and some other **** during their deployment to pass the time obviously.

2. You know it's the young generation hating here. They think war is constant fighting like a video game.

Overall it's a good series. Not HBO's best but it's good.

The Gunnery Sargeant nicknamed Casey Kasem has a youtube page with real video of the real men being portrayed in this series.

I absolutely loved this mini series, funny thing was when I was watching it I actually thought that Sgt. Colbert or "Iceman" would make a good Captain America.
So I looked up on imbd who was playing him because I couldn't quite remember his name. Turns out it was Alexander Skarsgård who was one of the Captain America choices I never liked... figures. So it actually made me change my mind about him.
