If the powers that be feel this should be merged into the series finale thread, I apologize for posting this. I have a thought though. Think of every major comic book movie. Outside of studio released teaser pics, something always leaks. Doesn't it concern anyone that in all this time, something...anything...hasn't leaked? A picture of Tom on set taken from a cell phone from a 100 clicks? I mean, it is the CW after all. It's a TV show. It's not a 150 million reboot. I think we are all getting set up for a let down. I can see something really lame like Tom walking towards the door and all you see is the cape, he looks over his shoulder with Martha and Lois staring at him and he smiles as Lois says something like, "Up, up and away, Smallville," and then do a "blur" effect as he super speeds out the door and then they play the movie theme. I just think they will not stray from the "No flights, no tights" theme. I think they are feeling the pressure to please the fans but if we see anything, it will be so minimal. Again, sorry for a seperate thread. Merge if needed.

If something always leaks in regards to major comic book movie adapations it's because it can't be helped, it's big, it has to be done in the open, it's inevitable. That's not the case with Smallville.

Why would something leak if this was a matter of putting the suit on for some minutes or hours behind closed doors with a maximum of 5-10 people? You think those people who are there to work are gonna take pictures and upload them online just for you?

some times things are not leaked. i dont have any examples on hand to really say to go with this post. But one thing for sv look at last few episode legion of doom, granny return, stargirl, toyman we didnt really have anything leaked out on that. Plus on the matter of tom in the suit for all we know he could have filmed all the stuff with the suit alone or with at least maybe erica and that was on set with only them and the crew. Plus suricty probably been pretty tight on the set during filming finale part 2 and part 1 when it was shooting. It just looks like some cant believe things not getting leaked out or it means tom isnt going to wear the suit. They will more then likely have him in the suit. Only thing is how much time will it be. I still hope for at least 2 scenes at about 3mins minium to go with.

seesh really look at how much they kept hidden with the last few episodes, and we know filming was under lock and key. Why cant folks just get that they dont want to blow everything before the finale airs. We have no clue what is what really beyond lex back, the the lois/clark wedding and all that. Plus tom in the superman suit is the money shot the moment the show has been building up all these yrs. They dont want to mess it up. Would you really want to see some shot of tom in the suit not under the proper lighting/post work/context like the very first still released of routh in the suit. No that was a horrible look at Routh then(as for the film in general). So i rather have things kept hush to we see it in the proper way.

It's CW and they really don't have the budget to do a flight with the suit justice. I wouldn't doubt that Welling probably has some clause in his contract saying he won't don the suit. There may even be some trademark legalities involved with syndication and DVD sets, seeing how the rights revert back to the Siegel and Schuster estates in 2013.
