Dont know if you guys in the states get Top Gear, basically its an awesome show on cars and blowing up caravans. One of their presenters, Richard Hammond is seriously ill in hospital and i'd like to wish him the best and i hope he gets well soon.

He was driving a 300 mph 10000 horsepower dragster and it flipped.

Jeremy Clarkson visited him and confused him by actually being nice to him. He eventually made Hammond laugh by giving him more of the usual abuse. Hopefully the guy will get better soon.

btw I think someone already made a thread on this.

Sorry if there is one already. yeah apparently he told him he was in hospital cos hes a crap driver and it made hammond smile.

At least the guy is stable now. There's every chance he'll make a comeback.

I was shocked when my brother told me what had happened, especially when I heard he was in a critical condition. I really hope Richard Hammond makes a full recovery.

It seems like everyone doing 'dangerous' stunts nowadays are getting killed or injured.

Steve Irwin, Hamster (Get well soon, buddy...he's great on Rogue Traders)...etc.

Coincidence?

Even if he's in a wheelchair, that's still a comback because he's on wheels.

I was talking about the potential braindamage. Anything like that you just can't predict what the long term effects are gonna be :(

Even if the guy's brain is gone and he's wheeled about, it's still a comeback.

either that was sarcastic and out of line or naive. Seriously man look at ali, everyone says he's still doing his thing but really they just pity him. Also think about the fact that this guy has two kids...

And how would my pity change the situation?

If my pity will make the man rise up, than I'll pity him.
