Get your Twinkies while you can!

I can even imagine Hostess not being around, but I can see how Little Debbie might have been their demise. They really undersold them on many tasty treats, I hardly ever buy Hostess now. :(

damn, how can ANYONE eat those donuts?!?... years ago here in Chi, when they used to be here before they all folded, whenever I ate that stuff, all that super-sweet s**t in it and on it seemed to make my teeth wiggle...

Seriously. Krispy Kreme has some of the most overrated donuts on Earth. They're far far too sweet, and their menu has all the variety of Britney Spears' vocal range.

I think most people in my town have realize this, because the local donut shop around the corner from Krispy Kreme is still thriving.

Really? I guess it must be a regional thing then. Cause we love 'em here in the south. It put Dunkin Donuts out of business in my area.

The South can eat sugar straight from the package and not flinch, man. My family is from Mississippi, I know.

My brother went to Target yesterday and all the Hostess stuff has been cleared out. :csad: People sure are quick stocking up for the armaggeddon.

Shipley's is way better.

Was it Woody Harrelson? :p

quite the opposite here in Chi... they were around for not even 10 years and then they all went outta business, pulled up stakes and headed outta Dodge... Dunkin Donuts still reigns supreme here... before Krispy came along here and long after they left...

Oh wow. I guess different strokes for different folks. Nothing like A fresh hot box of Krispy Kreme or hitting up Krystals, Glady's Knight 's Chicken and Waffles, or Waffle House after a night of club hoppin.

after eating a few of those super-glazed donuts years ago, I swear I was feeling my blood cells crystallizing and turning to glaze a few hours later... that's how TOO sweet and sugary those damn things are...

give one to a diabetic and you'll probably kill 'im...

I had no desire to eat a twinkie until this happened. Now I've searched all over the area and they're gone. Gone forever!!........ or maybe just a couple months?

I'm going to miss Twinkies. How dare they take it out of my life. How ****ING dare they!!!!

Apparently the company that owns the Canadian branch of Hostess is still alive and kickin', so maybe it'll be a Canadian import. :oldrazz:

I sure hope you guys enjoy the taste of spelt flour, maple syrup and flax seeds! :awesome:

I wish President Obama would give Hostess a bail out. I LOVED their Cupcakes! :(

The makers of Tasty Cakes (Flower Foods) is submitting a bid for the Hostess Cakes portion of the company so in all liklihood, Twinkies will still be around, though it could be 6 months to a year before stuff is back in production.

In the meantime, you can still get your fix, you just need to pay ridiculous Ebay prices for them. Typically around $25 a box. The highest I saw sold was yesterday at $122.50 per box (seller sold 10 boxes at that price *each*).

Lol, it Flower Foods can probably make a mint by treating Twinkies like the McRib: release it once a year, and watch people go nuts over it.

someone mail me one. i must know this twinkie goodness before it disappears forever.
