have any of guys been in a real difficult situation where you were'nt sure what wa sgoing in your life and everything felt it was coming all apart? and although you've struggeled to get through, you just feel like it is'nt enough. rather it be school, work or just personal issues.

adults don't have problems?
Yes, but I'd like to believe that they'd be able to weigh up the situation and make a the best possible decisions given all of the available options and information, without seeking advice on a comic book message board.

Not at dig at you, mind. I just find it odd when you see a thread hoping to raise serious issues sandwiched inbetween 'How much money will Spider-Man 3 make' and 'Superman's cape isn't red enough!'.

For some reason that always seems to happen to me every december. Career falls apart, love life falls apart, run out of money, everything. Just finished going through the cycle again really recently. It's pretty bizarre, I gotta say. Ivy's "I Hate December" has become my theme song. The upside I guess is that every time it happens, I end up going in a new, and more self-actualized direction either towards the end of the month, or January (starting a little early this year actually). I'm not sure if there's any advice in there, but I'm glad to be moving away from my annual december crash.

Well if you keep improving every January, you'll eventually be your ideal self in a matter of years

Of course, Still getting through crap, but i'm still living. Although, there have been times when I thought of just giving up. I admit, I'm weak, but the only thing that really keeps me going is my family.

That's the plan. I really wish I could break the december cycle though. It sure does suck doing this once a year.

So what's up with you and your "girlfriend" now, did you say something again that upset her, again?

No worries man, if you work to get through it; now problem will last forever..........will there is death, can't get past that.

When I go through stuff like that, I think of someone. Makes life a million times easier and motivates me to push on. :yay:

Yes, several times. You have to laugh and remember that we're all going to die, so it's not that bad, if you're at least still alive. Being alive presents the potential for improvement of situations in the future. So you go, "LMAO, this SUCKS ASS! Hahaha, miserable! F*** this, whatever."
And then wait it out or get off your ass and do anything possible to solve the problems.

Everyone has hard times, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger or some cliche like that.

Yeah, whoever said that was a ******.

So, if I tie you up, inject warm water into your brain stem, remove your eyeballs, cut off your limbs and then give you daily injections of heroin to intentionally addict you to it, and keep you living like that for the rest of your life, it makes you "stronger"?!?
LOL, no.

all the time, its why I come to the hype to get away from stuff like that......then someone makes a thread reminding me of it

i've gained the attitude that i can get through whatever life puts in front of me. I've been through a lot of really hard times in my life, and at times thought it was the end. Eventually, and obviously since i'm posting, i got through them though. It's looking back on the other times that you had to persevere through adversary and seeing that you lived through it and learned from experience that gives you hope of doing the same again when something else in life gets you that far down..or further.

It's about as bad as "Everything happens for a reason." What a defeatist lame-duck way to look at life.

Ive always taken the expression to be more meaning of a metaphorical emotional/psychological stance and not one of a physical nature. Because as you can clearly see, in a physical case the term would not apply.

"Love means never having to say you're sorry." :)

That's why I included the imposed non-fatal brain damage and mental deterioration through addiction.

sometimes when I feel down I like to listen to phil collins ''a groovy kind of love''
