Girl arrest for dropping a cake.

again you completely miss the point. I was calling you a "Liberal" because you follow the media, which at this point is quite liberal. I was saying that you refused to be critical of the story you were given. You have a distinct bias against anyone in a position of authority. I said nothing about the administration.

If I'm going to have to explain everything to you, this will take a really long time.

oh, and FYI, people with authority abuse their authority more than those who do not have authority because people who do not have authority do not have authority to abuse. What you said is like saying "People with guns shoot more people than those without." While factual, it doesn't actually address number of people shooting other people, or which group is actually more violent.

Well, sugarbumps, I have a distrust for every individual, from my 89 year old grandmother to that 2 year old son of a guy a few doors down from me in my apartment complex who sucks at playing bass, since the only song he knows is Running with the Devil.

And what I said was "More people with authority have a tendency to abuse their authority than those in authority who don't". A grade school child could grasp that that sentence was referring to 2 specific groups: 1) people in authority who abuse their authority, and 2) people in authority who don't abuse their authority

misread that part, I apologize. Now I feel a little stupid. But I maintain that you seem to be believing that this tory is completely true and could not possibly have happened any other way.

I mostly read the sports section. Next time a news article makes me say "what the ****", I'll check with the baby on here that's afraid of the "big giant massive liberal media bias outfit machine" to make sure that my expletive is "factually correct"

whatever, I'm just saing I think more is going on.

I just find it hard to believe that people would make a big deal about somebody accidentally dropping a piece of cake on the ground. As for recording video- I'm sure there are some kind of rules about recording devices on school/private property.

Theres probably more to the story but whatever I guess. The Fox news article is pretty biased, it even mentions the florida university incident where the attention ****e got tased for "asking a question" aka the "Dont taser me, Bro!" incident. I think we all remember that discussion.

I finally took the time to read this.

My reaction:

WTF?

No, you didn't get the gist of what I was saying. You were so damn far away you seemed to still be reading the original article.

I was suggesting that perhaps the entire event was embelished and exagerated by the "Victims" and the media.

I was suggesting that the students involved were not as tame and meek as they made themselves out to be. that they possibly instigated or provoked the officers. Perhaps they even had prior records of inciting or violent behavior. Furthermore, the article doesn't say he broke her arm, it says she CLAIMS he broker her arm, at least the reputable one does.

As to detaining the witnesses, he detained the ones who filmed it. I believe it might be because of the evidence, but not to hide it, to prove the girl's culpability. To exonerate because of how easily things are spun out of control when every anyone in authority attempts to enforce rules.

Sounds very familiar to " It was her own fault she got raped, why did she dress in such a revealing manner. She must have know that she sends signals. I mean come on, that revealing skirt, that belly free shirt, she practically said "do me big boy"

I personally find it deplorable when someone tries to spin an inccident so that the victim looks like the guilty party.

Hey, it's not the medias fault that reality has liberal bias.:oldrazz:

It's also hard to believe some grown men enjoy raping women and little children.

Theres probably more to the story but whatever I guess.

I'm sure there's more to the story, but something that would justify breaking her arm/wrist.

This is one crazy story, I mean...breaking her wrist? Was he high at the time, or something?
Even if there's more to the story, how can you justify breaking a little girl's wrist?

Break both of his wrists, and send him into the sun :down

i can use this story for my current event in school.

consider the possibilty that when she dropped it, she did not attempt to clean it, and when requested to clean it, refused, was repeatedly requested, and finally did a half-assed job. when she tried to leave, he took her by the arm to keep her there to finish the job, and she went off becoming violent. is that so unbelievable?

Hey genius,

If the girl didn't want to clean up the cake, or did "a half-assed job," it's still not even close to okay for a security guard to even put his hands on her, much less try and force her to finish.

That's why they have janitors.

What the hell does that have to do with someone dropping a piece of cake?!

Well obviously that medical issue happend during the handcuffing (and the officer's own stupidity). What bothers me is the fact that everybody here thinks that these security guards just all of a sudden snapped and became racist tyrants in front of a lunchroom full of students evidentally.

Whether or not they acted under racist motives, it doesn't matter. How reckless must you be to break someone's wrist, seriously?

I mean, breaking someone's wrists...'what the hell does that have to do with someone dropping a piece of cake?!'

:o

Deplorable? Please! Dude was just saying look at it from both points of view. You can't just take one person's story and completely dismiss the other. Geez! That's why guys are sent to prison for rape when years later, comes to find out that the girl lied, just cuase people thought it was "deplorable" to hear the other person's side. Remember the Duke Lacrosse team incident? :whatever:

I seriously doubt the first thing that popped into the officer's head was "I gotta break that damn wrist!".

What the hell does that have to do with someone dropping a piece of cake?!

:whatever: It's irony. You said you found it hard to believe that someone would spazz out over someone dropping cake. Just because you find it hard to believe, doesn't mean it didn't happen. We still don't have all the information, but people do stupid things all the time. I find it impossible to believe a grown man would be sexually stimulated by a toddler. Sadly, my inability to comprehend that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I seriously doubt the first thing that popped into the officer's head was "I gotta break that damn wrist!".

But, obviously one of the first things that should pop into his head, is the fact that whilst handling the girl, he shouldn't be so rough.
Of course, he might not have intentionally done it...but if he's that rough enough to do it, then he's in the wrong.

It could be taken out of context, since the camera phone only shows her being arrested. However, I extremely doubt, with the Post-Columbine school and with the advancements of technology, that there isn't a security camera around that area, and if she was doing something she didn't say with her testamony, you would think the school would have released it.

Still, I really can't see any reason why she had to have her wrist broken for it. Hell, why did she have to pick it up in the first place? Surely there are janitors at that school?

No matter what really happen, it just doesn't look good for the rent-a-cop. Either he used too much force on a 16 year-old girl, or he became a f**king tyrant and seemingly broke her wrist for the hell of it.

Well given what we know so far, hes obviously in the wrong. And I dont condone in breaking someone's wrist accidentally while handcuffing. For all we know she could have thrown the cake at the officer's feet or acting beligerantly somehow (it is stated she has a reputation for such acts), and instead of kicking the girl out for the day he asked her to pick the cake up. Then things escelated from there. Who knows.

Like Chris Rock says, I'm not saying he's innocent, but I understand.

This is a school in LA that deems it necessary to have security. It's probably a school that you wouldn't want your children to go to. I'm guessing a school with a lot of gang bangers.

To play the stereotype card like everyone else, this was a 16 year old black girl, she probably has a huge attitude problem. Even her mom looked like she had an attitude. Here is a the situation that makes more sense.

She knock/threw the cake down on purpose, laughing about it, "I don't care, I do what I want." She has a reputation as a trouble maker. She's told to clean the mess or go to the principals office. She refuses and argues, cussing and "acting black". She's told two or three times and finally pretends like she's cleaning it up, but is really just smearing the cake to act like an ass. The security guards have enough and start to escort the girl to the principals office. She starts fighting and pushing the guards, which is assault. She starts to be put in cuffs and she's still fighting and squirming and "breaks" her own wrist (thank god she wasn't tased). Other kids start video taping the incident gathering a crowd, yelling and cursing and "acting black". The other guards tell the rowdy crowd to simmer down or they will be sent to the principals office too. They down and they start to be escorted to the principal, and they start fighting and shoving, the guy's sister jumps in as well and starts fighting with the guards also. They are then arrested. The mother of the girl, thinking her daughter could never do anything wrong or thinks her daughter doesn't have to follow the rules because she's black, goes to the school and starts "acting black" as well. Because she's black, she thinks she has the right to poke and shove the principal. She's warned that if she continues she will be arrested as well. The media catches wind of the story. The mother makes up the part about the nappy-head comment because Imus said it and it's a hot button issue that will rally the "black leaders" behind her. The media does what it does and reports what will bring in rating.

Now see how much things make sense when put in perspective then thinking, "The guards went to the Hitler school of security, and they are in law enforcement so are inherently racists, and they get hard by breaking sweet little innocent girl's arms, and this is another example of a top secret government conspiracy to slowly turn us into a totalitarian/fascist/dictatorship government."

You may not realize this, but you came off really racist in this... Did I come off this racist?

and, pardon my sheltered ears but... what does "Nappy" mean anyway?

Can I point out that is was not confirmed that her wrist was broken? I mean, the article (legitimate one) says that she CLAIMS her wrist was broken and then showed up in a cast.
