Girl's Feet Cut Off At Six Flags

So correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not the first time a roller-coaster ride has actually gained 2 feet after it was built?

Man I won free tickets to Holiday World and I going next week. I think I'm starting to back down.

Ohhhh!

OHHHHHH!!!! OHHHHHHH!!! He said it!

:highfive:

:highfiveback: :D

Btw, this is completely off-topic, but I see your icon, and I literally JUST finished watching the "Firefly" series and JUST placed my Amazon order for the HD DVD of "Serenity". :) Good show, hopefully good movie. :)

aaaand back to trying to figure out how the girl lost her feet...

- Hey, didja hear about the girl who slipped on that Superman ride?
- No, what happened?
- Apparently she lost her footing.

This is going to put a dent in the new "•YOU ARE HERE" ad campaign for Six Flags. :csad:

We have a Six Flags here...a little one known as Magic Mountain. It doesn't have that ride.

However, this seems like an appropriate place to talk about my near-death experience on a roller coaster. When I first went to Knott's Berry Farm (Buena Park, CA), my first ride was Boomerang. Yaay. Boomerang is a boomerang roller coaster. You back up, then zoom forward like...wait for it...

whoooosh!

like that. And then it goes in reverse and the ride is over. Okay. As soon as I got on the roller coaster, the harnesses went down.

Harnesses=safe=good.

So this is the boomerang part. You back up slowly and into a 90 degree incline so you're looking pretty much straight down.

My harness=NOT SAFE!!!!

It swung open! Holy sh-------

whoooooshhhh

So the entire ride, I had my eyes closed clutching for dear life on the harness (which wasn't even locked). I survived, fortunately (or unfortunately--depends who you are) and I rode all the roller coasters in the park after that.

I would've freaked and started crying like a *****.

My moral barometer is telling me not to laugh in this thread. :csad:

It's so hard.

Whaaat?

You'd wish I'd get blown away in my head?

The bullet would go overmyhead kid.

I've seen this ride. You're riding in a vehicle so it's not like your legs hang out anywhere. How on earth did a cable severe her legs?
