LOL!
The whole power ranger cheeseyness i expected like all the godzilla japenese movie.

thats one reason why its so funny!

lol, I think it's funny that people even bother to complain when a Godzilla movie is cheesy.

hell-O?

This isn't Remains of the Day here.

^ True, but there are certain things that one expects to see when sitting back to watch a Godzilla flick and if the formula gets screwed up too much it can be disappointing. I didn't mind Final Wars as a fun silly homage to the goofy Godzilla movies of the '70s, but considering that it was Godzilla's 50th anniversary movie it really didn't deliver nearly as much as it promised. Too many pointless kung-fu fights and ADD-edited monster battles.

The two MechaGodzilla movies (Godzilla X MechaGodzilla and Tokyo SOS) were the best of the millenial Godzilla series.

Ya....................................:oldrazz:

Did you guys like how they bought the rights to the american godzilla and turned him into a real monster.

:woot:

I also thought it was funny how it took godzilla to take out the american godzilla in 2 seconds compared to the other monsters.

I personally disliked it. In some ways, it felt less like a Godzilla movie than the American remake did. It was essentially a chop-soky action sci-fi movie that had a few monster battles happening in the background. It was pretty obviouse to me that Kitamaura either didn't know how to make a Godzilla movie, or he was just more interested in making a sci-fi martial arts film, so he decided to use Final Wars as a vehicle for one. You know you've done something wrong with a Godzilla movie when watching humans fighting each other is more interesting than the monsters.

It was a pretty ploopy way to send Godzilla into retirement IMO. Oh well, maybe now would be a good time to revive the American Godzilla movie franchise. I had some cool ideas for how they could fit Gidorah and some really cool kaijus into it.

i agree in a way, but you have to admit that it was funny about how easy the japenese version of godzilla to take out the american version.
:wow:

I also think that this won't be the last movie because the one before this was gonna be there last. :whatever:

Well, that's nothing new. That's always been one of the components of the Godzilla series, especially in the '70s. Not necessarily a GOOD component, mind you, but it's always been there.

They did that already in the animated series version, which IMO was infinitely better than the movie and probably would still be better than any sequel. Final Wars may not have been a particularly pristine sendoff, but at least there was SOME attempt to appease the fans that have kept the whole thing going for the past 50 years.

Well, I think that's Toho's plan, IIRC - basically make a couple movies, then send the franchise into a dormant state for five to seven years. Probably not a bad idea, either. I think they're trying to keep it going without exhausting whatever creative energies they have all in one run, which is what happened with the original series of films.

You have got a point, but i think there going to have to make another movie because in the new game(Godzilla: Unleashed) there creating 2 new monsters.
