I was just wondering if anybody besides me was reading this comic, and what you guys thoughts on the frist two issues were? mostly just trying to start a disscussion about this comic.

I bought and read the first two issues and the writing is HORRIBLE!! As a child of the late 70s I grew up on Godzilla movies so I have a sentimental view of Big G but the dialoge just plain SUCKS!

I don't know how much longer I can last?

I've been reading it, I find it to be a fairly enjoyable series, not really much depth, but meh, its a comic about giant monsters (or Kaiju if you prefere) destroying things, you dont really need much depth. (And in its defense there is some political/social humor thrown in.)

But yeah, I find it to be an enjoyable series. I hope it does well for IDW, and lasts a decently long time.

so I just started reading this, it's pretty cool. I love seeing all the monsters, but yeah, the dialogue is really mediocre. and some of the political satire seemed a little disjointed with what was going on with the monsters. It does get surprisinly dark though, what with multiple child deaths, which might also make the humor sprinkled through seem to be in a poor taste on occasion. the bits with the monsters are great, although King Ghidorah's presence was just kind of random, amounting to little more than a cameo. as a showcase of the toho monsters it's pretty enjoyable, but from a casual comic fan perspective yeah, it is kind of stupid lol.
