Good news for the environment: Captain Planet is back

LMAO

In seriousness though...not sure I would want the second series on dvd, even if they did fight Hitler.

I just found my Duke Nukem action figure....still glows in the dark :woot:

My dad has the Duke Nukem figure on his desk at work. We got it for him as a gag gift back when I was a kid, because he worked as an engineer for a nuclear power company. Ironically though, he works at a fuel cell company now, so maybe I should get him a Captain Planet figure too. :p

Does your dad wear hawian shirts and glow in the dark? That'd be cool.....

Duke Nukem? I immediately thought of this...

I'm pretty sure that Captain Planet used the "Duke Nukem" name first, but the video game one will always be the real Duke Nukem to me. :p

There was also the episode where a friend of theirs got shot at a high school, so the planeteers moved to the city, enrolled as students, pretended they didn't know each other, ended up in different cliques based on race, and joined different gangs to figure out who shot the guy.

what's the name of that episode? I've been telling people it existed for years but nobody believes me lol. I remember being shocked watching it too.

I had to check the Wikipedia episode list...

86. 'Teers in the Hood - This episode dealt with gang violence, guns, and the peace messages of Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy, and Mahatma Gandhi, as well as their assassinations. An old friend of Gi's, a teacher, is caught up in a gang war and nearly killed, so the Planeteers infiltrate the two feuding gangs and try to put a stop to the cycle of violence, which may prove easier said than done.

'Teers In The Hood is my favorite episode.

We had so much fun filming that one. Ah, The memories.

1. Are you still role playing as Captain Planet when you post? Even with a different avatar?

2. Captain Planet was barely even in that episode of Captain Planet. He was on-screen for less than a minute. He was summoned, put out a fire, said "the power is yours" and bounced. The Planeteers did all of the work in that episode. Cap was out-badassed by Gi in that episode. And Gi is terrible.

Yeah but I heard it was because Captain Planet was going back into rehab because of his cocaine additction.

It's almost like that episode of Walker Texas Ranger except Walker poses as a teacher to try and stop a drug ring as well as gang wars. Yeah that's right I've seen some episodes of Walker Texas Ranger. :o

The best one was where Walker told Hayley Joel Osment he had AIDS :woot:

(If you havent seen the clip..youtube it)

It's the only good thing Chuck Norris has ever done.

Once you become a teacher, the plot is immediately a copycat of The Substitute.
