Nice. I like the accompanying homepage themes. Not that I'll likely get that much use out of them, but it's a nice touch.

Very cool. I just updated my iGoogle with the Cap theme.

No Superman? Seems like a pretty glaring omission for a character-based DC logo..

Why did it get the logo is the question.

yes, when i think if DC i totally think of plastic man before superman.

Good idea for a piece of promotional material, although yeah, the omission of Superman is glaringly obvious.

Also, what is the second "o" supposed to be? The shortbus version of a space shuttle? I haven't read too many WW comics, so maybe it's an Amazon airship that I've never seen, or something...?

That's what I thought at first, but the plane usually looks more like a jet than a yellow marshmallow.

all he needed was black canary and superman, and he had his justice league cast from "all star batman and robin"

I think there was an obvious artist took some licensing to make the invisible jet look like an O.

I dont know why Im surprised at the nit-picking. Just a cool looking thing that makes no difference to enjoy for a split second and people react like the artist had it out for Superman.

Well considering its Jim Lee, one of comics biggest stars and he is missing one of, arguably, comics biggest Icon one would infer that maybe Lee didnt want him there. Seeing as he can pretty much pick and choose what he does at DC, or its was editorially mandated.

Or he simply thought these looked better than having Superman simply holding a letter. Probably tried to think of creative ways to show the letters rather than make sure he used the "fanboy approved" set of characters.

Well i mean its not like fanboys NEED Superman its just if you are trying to show a logo that represents the universe and you in clude Batman, Wonder Woman the third part of the Trinity is kinda by neccessity assumed to be a part of the gathering. Plus he is like I said arguably the biggest icon in comics.

Its not a DC representation, its a Google representation using DC Comics characters.

Very cool.

I wonder if Superman not being there has anything to do with the latest lawsuit with the Seigle/Shuster kids?

Nah, I doubt it would be related to that since that won't even come to court until 2013 I believe (if it comes in at all for the matter). Most likely it was just a simple case of him being omitted because the artist decided to for whatever reason

DC is seeking to downplay Superman as much as they can until the various lawsuits regarding him are settled, imo.

Various lawsuits? I thought there was just one upcoming case since I believe the Superboy case was settled.

When I first saw it I thought where is Superman? Superman is one of DC's biggest heroes. In the past when I was growing up Superman has been there with Batman, and Wonder Woman. Intresting that Green Lantern Hal Jordan is there. Batman to me has taken Superman's place as the number one hero. Look at how much Batman has been promoted with the Batman movies and all the animated projects.
Green Lantern Hal Jordan is really being promoted now with the comics, animated film, and a new big budget film.
I just don't see a lot of Superman promotion now. He isn't even featured in his own books.
Makes me wonder???
