Got three used ones at the nearest comic/book store last night. :yay:...got the prequel tie in, three comics in plastic covers, 3 tiny man-thing game pieces, Man-Thing (R1) dvd, and Man-Thing (R2 Netherlands) 2-Disc Steelbook dvd.

DVD? The one that has the Sci-Fi Channel movie? I don't know if it's wise for ANYONE to admit that they have that!:o

I haven't seen it, but I've wondered about the quality.

Well, Man-Thing himself looks excellent. But the script is poor and most of the acting sub-par..

.the thing that really killed it for me though, is they change the location of his swamp from The Everglades (where i grew up) to Louisiana, and NONE of the suppporting cast or villains from the comic appear...although the basic plot is sort of a half-assed adaption of a story from Adventures Into Fear...

But yeah; his comics from the 70's were very creepy and cool, if you're into that sort of thing....

Yeah it was defintly a B monster movie. MUCH like the Classic Black and White horror flicks.

The comics are used and in so-so to alright..maybe good condition.

For 4 bucks I got A Candle For Saint Cloud. Ok read.

For 1.50 each, The Tower at the end of time and Death Cry of a dead man! Haven't read them, yet. Maybe tonight. As for the years...don't know for sure, but seems like 70's. And all three were 25 cents back then, too.

Sadly, Marvel doesn't make new Man-Thing comics. Did check ebay before work this morning. Oh man, there's a Man-Ting vs Spider-man comic for sale there. Seems like 70's or 80's, too.

i have manthing number one.five bucks if you want it.

Giant Size?

I don't think any are.

Two other comics are left at the comic/book store, though. One is the first issue and don't know about the other. It may be a Giant-Size one, the other one there.

Also, Man-Thing #1 was reprinted into the paperback prequel book.

Man-Thing the movie makes movies like Dolph Lundgren's Punisher, Cathy Lee Crosby's Wonder Woman, Rex Smith's Daredevil, and the "Hoff's" Nick Fury look like Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, the Godfather and Casablanca.

Easily the worst hero movie ever.

Man Thing will be one of the characters in the new Marvel Comics Presents. I'm not sure when his story comes up but it is one of the first ten or so.

Isn't this supposed end with the mandatory punch line "Wanna see my Giant Sized Man Thing?"

You're kidding me? :wow:

Elektra was dull & bland... and DareDevil wasn't that great either...

Man-Thing was an honest "whatyou see is what you get" type of grade B flick...

I had higher expectations for the aforementioned two, which were not met...

To each his own, i guess. You couldn't PAY me to watch Man-Thing again....

I didn't say I was going to watch it every day, but once every 5 or 6 years might occur... which is more than I'll watch Elektra or DareDevil again.

I actually tried to watch DareDevil again last year, and I couldn't even finish it...

I saw the Man-Thing, and yeah, it was bad. The worst part was it appeared to me that the special effects didn't match the dialogue or script. Or perhaps the other way around.

Can someone please post a picture of what Man-Thing looks like in the movie!

You mean the three stalks on his face? If so, then yes.
