Guardians of the Galaxy GOTG: Spoiler Talk

It seems the first cluster of people have gotten to see Guardians of the Galaxy at advance test screenings, and for some reason Marvel has neglected to put any kind of embargo on people giving away specifics from the film this time around. As a result, we have posters chatting away about major pivotal plot moments in the film, some of them presumably from late in the film, and only sporadically using spoiler tags. As a result, I've had more about the film given away - wither directly or be really obvious allusions - than I would have liked.

In order to make the General Discussion thread safe again for people keen to discuss the movie without being exposed to further spoilers, while still giving those who have seen the film or are happy to be spoiled an avenue for chat, I've created this thread. Could people please restrict their "What happens to so-and-so?" or "Do we see any of this?" questions towards those who've seen the film to this thread, at least until the film's release?

Just some advice to you man, the remifications of violating an NDA are very huge. Just be careful and cover your tracks well because if Marvel or Disney catches up with you, the out come can be very devastating to you.

Well in the comics Nova and Star Lord are very good friends anyway so it makes sense. In the comics the team is put together by the Kree but I dont mind them changing that to the Nova Corps for the movie.

But yeah, Nova and Star-Lord became BFF's during Annihilation.

That's cool. Well the ending did tease the sequel. It was a nice wrap up though. And yeah that BTS image of Rocket with the pot is a spoiler, you can guess what happened there.

Sounds like Groot sacrifices himself at the end then like in Annihilation: Conquest? That also ended with Rocket carrying a pot, or is it at the start of the movie?
