Rockstar Grand Theft Auto VI

Us PC players have the "self radio" in GTA 5 so we can play our very own music library. :word: Hopefully Rockstar implements the same feature in this.
The sky’s the limit for PC players but you’ll also have to wait even longer. I expect a lot will double dip Ps5 first then PC later

Us low end PC players can only put about 50 songs in the Self Radio file, any more and if you're driving a fast car you outrace the game's ability to load the environment and you find yourself driving on air.
I know, I need a better rig a.s.a.f.p.
Yeah it's possibly CPU bottleneck. I guess it was bad optimization on Rockstar's part.

The suggestion is to play WAV files at a specific quality.
  • Only the WAV, MP3, WMA & M4A formats are supported.
  • Some users have reported slower-loading textures when using the Self-Radio station. Suggested to be an issue when the CPU is already bottlenecking the game and transcoding the custom music bringing additional load to the CPU. Suggested to use 48 kHz 16-bit signed WAV files (normal format and bitrate of the in-game radio) instead of MP3 files to avoid this issue.

If you'll be building a new rig, you better do it quick before the prices of RAM kits skyrocket even more thanks to AI companies buying them for their data centers...

At this rate they should just skip VI and go straight to VII or maybe VIII if they wait much longer.

They could start charging for driving lessons, judging by the number of people I have seen who apparently learned how to drive from GTA.

Well, Rockstar did acquire the FiveM mod team few years back so I expect GTA6 to have a big multiplayer component based on the huge success of the role-playing servers.

I think of the dinner scene in Jurassic Park where the lawyer talks about how they can put the price as high as they want because people will pay it, and I think that applies to GTA VI. It's like the most anticipated video game of the last decade, whether it's 70 dollars or 90 dollars on release probably won't impact if people buy it or not.

But lol @ companies that think people will pay 100 for most games.

Yeah you can get away with it if you're putting out GTA6. If it's just another random new big game I think people will just wait for a sale.
I usually wait for a sale anyways. I don't mind waiting for a year or even more if that means getting it for $20 and fully patched.

It is always better to play a game when its cheaper and most of the additional content/updates have been added.

Unless you're a content creator who needs to play the latest games, during their launch week.

No reason they can't have a "sequence" that takes place in Tokyo. GTAV had a couple of sequences in the story that took place outside of LS. Red Dead II has a sequence that takes place on an Island and its very important to the story (Arthur Morgan gets infected with the disease that kills him).
