Love this movie. After seeing this, I have complete faith in anything Justin Lin does. I highly recommend it.

I really want to see this movie.

It's such a shame this film didn't get the same adulation as the average Pixar film...

Oh yeah, that movie's intense. I had to skip a scene in it. It made me a lifelong fan of JGL though, long before he was cast in Inception or TDKR.

Dead Man's Shoes

A British film about a Soldier who returns to his hometown to exact revenge on his younger brothers tormentors, brilliant film with excellent performances by Paddy Considine and Toby Kebbell..

Brave people can also give a try to The Doom Generation, by the same Araki. A teenage road movie filled with gore and twisted pervs.

That movie is ****ed up. Got around to watching it a couple of years ago and that scene in the warehouse makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Taking a note above off including a LGBT movie:

It has a really amazing story behind it that will interest everyone seeing it. The protagonist is a young guy who put his dreams on hold to look after, basically act as a father to, his sister's child who has a repugnant boyfriend who wants to get rid of the kid. The protagonist discovers that he's gay and is in love with his friend's older brother while trying to deny it. The older brother encourages him to just be the strongest self he can be. It's a story of standing your grounds, believing in yourself, and being confident in who you are.

Another domestic film, this time about a boy who was orphaned when he was five years old finding and falling in love with his biological mother. In a familial non romantic way. It seemed to hit a lot of notes right of how said relationship would play out - the angst, the almost oedipal elements, and once again has a protagonist who acts as a protector over his younger brother.

Yes, it's another domestic drama. This time about a young man dealing with the death of his older brother and how it effects everyone in the family. Although it won awards, I don't know many people (at least in my generation) who've heard about it.
