Maybe he just meant "realistic" in terms of his Batman being "revitalized". I mean most of the interview was him talking about how much crap Batman has had to endure lately and its only natural for a hero thats having a hard time in life to reflect that in his mind and body whilst fighting . Millers narrative compliments Batmans state of mind. And Batmans physical state should always reflect his mental state.GM: Well, I still intend to do 'Miller'-style first person narrative captions which give some insight into Batman's thought processes but it seems more 'realistic' to imagine Batman as a hardcore fightin' man who wouldn't even notice his injuries until long after the fight was over,
Meaning his Batman will still have the Miller captions (sounds like he is complimenting him just by saying it so plainly, like Miller's style on this is the way it should be) but his Batman will be about coming out of this hole he's been in so long.
If Batman's life goes a bit better for him its only natural (realistic) to write his narrative captions to reflect that adrenaline pumped mental and physical optimism.
Of course my take on his words could be coming out mah azz, I havent checked it lately.
(I had a Wonder Woman pitch too but I stopped with the World's Finest team)!
