All-Star Superman said:I hope the cover for Action looks better

Actually, that looks a hell of a lot more like Sarge Steel. Still an awesome cover though.yenaled said:That has to be Flag on the cover of Checkmate - I'll guess we'll ifnd out soon enough.
I think Ostrander's issues are just a fill-in for Morrison to allow him a bit more time on writing not only Batman, but several other books such as WildC.A.T.S, The Authority, 52, and All-Star Superman. DC already has books such as Teen Titans, Green Lantern, All-Star Superman, All-Star Batman and Robin: The Boy Wonder, Justice League of America, Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis, and Superman/Batman, DC doesn't need another delayed book. I remember reading a Newsarama interview with Morrison which he says that he's in the Batman title for the long termyenaled said:So Morrison is off Batman... don't really care as:
1) Dini is still on Detective.
2) Freakin' John Ostrander is taking over!
I've been wondering about what has happened to Krypto now that his owner is freaking dead.Ignoring the horrid Action Comics we have a Krypto story in Superman. I'm looking forward to it Kurt Busiek knows what he is doing and for some reason I love that cover. Talking about Kurt; a new Fisherman in Aquaman which may prove to be great.
Likewise, I'll be skipping the Confidential line. Though if these books are successes, I wouldn't be surprised if they make Wonder Woman Confidential, Flash Confidential, and Green Lantern Confidential. In my opinion they look like to be in continuity All-Star books. Both Confidentials will be a miss for me.
I'm still not getting Checkmate on account that it is a SHIELD rip-offThat has to be Flag on the cover of Checkmate - I'll guess we'll ifnd out soon enough.
I'm glad that DC is starting to push other characters such as Wonder Woman and Green Lantern besides Batman and Superman. As for the Green Lantern titles; Corps and Ion look interesting continuing on how they have been. Guy mini has horrible art but I will check it out.
Johns really needs to lighten his work load. BADLY. These delays are getting rediculous. With Green Lantern just pushing out a re-solit from last month (this is also the same with Teen Titans). It seems so hard to make a book come out month by month - this doesn't bode too well for JSA which is listed there.
I'm getting Trials of Shazam, The All-New Atom, Creeper, and Martian Manhunter. I found Battle for Bludhaven to be rather boring so I decided to skip out on it's sequel: Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters, was that a mistake on my part. And like all of Bruce Jones's work, I avoid OMAC like the clap.Apart from Uncle Sam (and Shazam which isn't listed) I'll be missing out the rest of the Brave New World minis.

And if you read the freaking book you'd know that that argument has no base. Congrats on making assumptions based on pictures and concept. "LOL its a government agency with a half blind guy lol!!!!"hippie_hunter said:I'm still not getting Checkmate on account that it is a SHIELD rip-off

Checkmate is basically the same damn thing as SHIELD. A UN organization that was once under US control but with heavy US ties lead by semi-immortal men with eye patches that fought in World War II. And both teams consist of superheroesGreen Lantern said:And if you read the freaking book you'd know that that argument has no base. Congrats on making assumptions based on pictures and concept. Alan Fury dammitI agree, and he's missing one of the best books DC has going now...

If you simplify it that much, then the JLA and the Avengers are the same thing. Both teams are lead by the respective companies most idealistic hero and a representative of "The American Way" both teams have had just about every hero IN their universe at one point or another. Both teams have been controlled by the government at one point or another...hippie_hunter said:Checkmate is basically the same damn thing as SHIELD. Btw, in December Marvel will publish another alternate JLA vs alternate Marvel heroes. How many we have seen in the last 15 years?Green Lantern said:If you simplify it that much, then the JLA and the Avengers are the same thing. Are we sure Morrison is off the book, or are they simply having some time off to work on the new issues?yenaled said:So Morrison is off Batman... don't really care as:
