To name a few...
- HML1 Iron Man packaging variant ("helmet off") having a higher price tag than the "helmet on" version at secondary retailers, despite being packed completely evenly. Which, is to say, that the "helmet off" is the variant instead of the "helmet on" being the variant.
- Giant Man series variants being packed as evenly as every other figure and still getting a higher price tag. Also, having a variant have the final BAF piece.
- Scarlet witch being shown looking pretty decent, then getting cancelled, then released anyways. In that process, completists had to fork over huge amounts of cash to get the "cancelled" scarlet witch just to watch it sit on the pegs a few weeks later. Another travesty? It was just an absolutely horribly produced figure with acne and horrible articulation.
- The ratio of variants available in ML 6-8. Then Toybiz tries to make up for the scarcity of variants in 6-8 with ML9 and its abundant variants. However, the variants are pretty crappy and hard to GIVE away.
- Speaking of the Giant Man Series, watching secondary retailers grab up all of the GM figures before anyone else can, and forcing people to spend 2-3 times the price for the figures online, at comic shops, or conventions (where I saw hundreds of GM series figures).
-Ultron. There, I said it.
-Action features on Electro and Shocker in the spider-man series.
-Palisades closing/ Army of Darkness series 2 Blind Boxed figures/ loss of the Muppets Series
-Hasbro takes the Marvel Liscense, and proceeds to make all of the collecting community collectively gag.
