Which action franchise has never disappointed? I’m not including the MCU or Star Wars in the poll since those aren’t necessarily one single movie franchise but a series of franchises across movies and tv making one large franchise

I had to go with Bond, just for the consistency. I don’t love every Bond film (there have been some bad ones obviously) but I would say the majority are good or even great action films.

I would probably put M:I next, again for consistency. MI2 is the only bad film and even that one has its moments.

I would probably put Batman after that; we’ve had the Nolan Trilogy, the Reeves film and the Burton films, which all had good action sequences.

Some of the others on this list only had a few good entries IMO. Die Hard 1-3 are all good but 2 and 3 never reach the highs of the first film (which IMO is the best action film of all time). Also, the second one loses a lot of points for having the same exact thing happen to John again (on Christmas no less and with the same stupid reporter inexplicably on the plane with his wife) and it thinks it’s clever by just constantly calling out the implausibility of the scenario.

MI, James Bond and now John Wick have been my faves.

For consistency over such a prolonged period (and for some of the biggest 'highs' of ALL action films) I have to go with Bond.

John Wick hasn't had a 'fail' for me yet, but it's only three films so far. My vote for Bond stands.

I’m not even a huge diehard (no pun intended) fan but I vote Bond.

007 walked so that these franchises could soar.

I didn’t include Batman because it gets rebooted every few years, so not really a single franchise. But I also don’t really consider it an “action” franchise either. It has action in it, but it doesn’t really feel like an action movie like the other movies that are listed.

Lethal Weapon has been the most consistent for me.

Oh, tough one.

T2 is the greatest action film of all time but were talking franchise overall.

I'll have to think about this one.

:hmm

James Bond. 60 years and 25 films (in the Eon series) that was completely groundbreaking back in the day. Yeah, they vary in quality, but I could still easily watch even the worst ones and I legitimately like all but the bottom 3 or 4.

John Wick and the original Die Hard trilogy. I'm fine overlooking what came after since 1 and 3 are so good.

Bond for it's longevity & ability to 're-shape' & adjust to it's environment, although less said about Moore & Brosnan era's, the better.

For contemporary offerings, the M:I franchise has grown exponentially into a force of nature and the consistency of quality has been terrific (bar II, which was a wee bit dross).

Other: John Wick.

Looking at consistency, Wick beats all competition at a strong 3/3. I hope it can maintain that position with 4 and beyond.

For consistency, quality and delivering bar raising action sequences Mission Impossible is number 1 for me, Bond has obviously had a run that will be unmatched in length, John Wick is 3 movies in and growing in scope and in my view Die Hard was great 4 movies deep before it went **** up.

1. Mission Impossible
2. Bond
3. Die Hard
4. Indiana Jones
5. John Wick

I’m the only one who doesn’t like the John Wick franchise I guess. I enjoyed the first but then they expanded it to where this “secret” organization actually runs everything and sort of collapses under its own weight.
