Similar to other threads I've done but streamlined, no seperate categories here, just nominate 3 contenders from the most iconic movie vehicles of all time, then depending on the amount of nominations I'll either do a 5 or 10 option poll.

My three nominations:

I vote for the ones that need to be included. All iconic in their own way

The classic 007 Aston Martin
1966s Batmobile
Herbie
The original cast's Star Trek ship (1966 or 1979-91 doesn't matter)
Ghostbusters' car

I have more favorites but these have already gotten many votes.

to the one who mentioned Herbie that was one I was gonna mention. I was at a car show a few years ago and this guy had a spot on replica of Herbie as close to film accurate as you could get it even had the wider racing rims with VW caps on it this thing was so cool and he even had Dean Jones's name signed on the glove box door it was VERY cool to see this little guy looking all cool in real life.

Anyone notice that not a single vehicle on people's lists if from the last 10 years?

I was going to say the Tumbler but even it dates back 15 years, i feel the same when it comes to movie scores.

Its not that surprising. Anything in the last ten years hasn't stood up to the test of time yet, and really *shouldn't* be nominated.

Anyway, surprised no one has nominated the Enterprise yet:

I guess it takes time to achieve iconic status in most poster’s minds here.

It says more about the films than the people watching them that not a single movie over the last decade has produced an iconic movie vehicle.

Yeah, I don't think this is just needing time to become iconic. Stuff like the Millennium Falcon and DeLorean were at that status right away. But there hasn't really been a lot recently where cars feature prominently.. The Fast and the Furious franchise, but I'm not a giant fan of those so I've only seen some of the films and nothing stands out to me. The new Bond movies but they take longer and longer to come out and the most memorable car from the Craig films was just the old DB5 again. On the spaceship front we have the Milano from Guardians of the Galaxy that was pretty memorable, and mostly a bunch of old stuff from decades ago being used in sequels/remakes. Like the new Star Wars films just having Rey fly the Falcon again.
