Greatest Scene Ever

Ben-Hur!
Horse racing scene!
No CGI there...pure movie making magic!
How come there's no video game about it
Do I have to do it myself?

Ten Commandments!
Parting of the sea
I mean the acting and all the emotion involve make it one of the most memorable scene ever !

The abyss!
Well I can't tell you about it , just go and rent the movie! You cur!

The final swing at the end of the 1st spidey movie. It was the most visually poetic scene through out the entire movie, which btw is a dissapointment considering the movie was 2odd hours and that was the only scene worth watching.

Jules' interroggation of Brett in Pulp FIction. Sam Jackson's finest hour.
LOL, that scene is great. "Oh I'm sorry did I break your concentration? Oh, Oh you were done? Well allow me to retort." And, "Mr. Wallace doesn't like to be ****ed by anyone but Mrs. Wallace."

"what!!??"

SAY WHAT AGAIN! I DARE YOU, I DOUBLE DARE YOU!

lol, okayt that's enough. Anyway, here's a slightly revised Top 10:

1) Almost Famous - "Tiny Dancer" singalong
2) Aliens - Hudson's last stand.
3) Goodfellas - Billy Batts getting the crap kicked out of him.
4) Fast Times At Ridgemont High - Phoebe Cates' nude scene.
5) True Romance - The Hopper / Walken showdown
6) Pulp Fiction - Jules' interrogation of Brett.
7) The Godfather - The horse's head.
8) One Flew Over The Cukoo's Nest - McMurphy takes the inmates fishing.
9) A Few Good Men - "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"
10) Batman Returns - The showdown in the sewer at the end.

Pulp Fiction had three really good ones:

- Brett's Interrogation Scene. "Does he look like a b****?"
- Jules and Vincent at the diner. "Get my wallet, it's the one that says Bad Mother****** on it."
- Marcelus Wallace after getting raped. "I'm gonna go medieval on yo ass."

Others that I liked were:

- Predator. "You're one ugly mother******."
- Jackie Brown. When Samuel L. Jackson picks up Chris Tucker from the hotel and kills him.
- Mission: Impossible. When Ethan Hunt finds out the truth.
- Spider-Man 2. When Spider-Man gets his suit back and swings toward Doc Ock at the tower. That is the best scene of the movie.
- True Lies. The ending scene when Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis do the tango.

Also…
Jesus of Nazareth!
The scene where the blind man sees for the first time!

If I had to choose a superhero movie
Nothing beats 1978 superman .
Superman’s grief over Lois lane when he realizes she was dead!

shawshank redemption, with the reveal of the axe in the bible

primal fear- when ed norton reveals hes not schizophrenic

major league II- wild thing comin out of bullpen in the last game

wizard of oz- dorothy stepping into the world of color

the shining - when the girl sees jacks book: all work and no play makes jack a dull boy

star trek first contact "i will not blow up the damn ship!"

planet of the apes: staute of liberty

The scene where Optimus Prime mashes through the decepticons in cab/truck form, jumps in the air, transforms and starts blasting the remaining standing decepticons left, right and center with his gun -right before his final showdown with Megatron in 'Transformr:The Movie'.
My number 1 movie moment ever.
Right from when he steps off the ship and transforms, till he beats down Megatrons ass.
Nothing compares to that scene for me. Its just something geeky deep down inside.

Casablanca - The scene just before she gets on the plane
Finding Neverland - Where johnny Depp says "That's neverland!"
Spider-man 2 - Train scene, Best superhero fight scene ever so far.
Taxi Driver - Travis Bickle sits on the couch puts his fingers to his head.

Do you people really think what happens in movies like transformers, star wars, star trek are really the greatest scenes in film history? Answer is NO!

This debate is almost wholly subjective. People react differently to different films.

Besides, you think one of the best scenes is in Spiderman 2. That's the pot calling the kettle black.

a picture paints a thousand words:

The setting suns scene truly was magnificent. The music, the visuals the timing. Just ****ing brilliant.

Harrison Ford being chased by the giant bolder in Raiders of the Lost Ark. That scene pretty much sums up and personafies the entire Indiana Jones formula.

Christian Bale spraying Cillian Murphy with Murphy's own fear gas and then appearing to him as a Lord of the Ring style monster in Batman Begins.

Greatest scene ever?!! wow, now that is a heck of choice. I'll just role with what first comes to mind.

I say the scene between Christopher Walken as a mobster and Dennis Hopper as an x-cop in True Romance. Overall, the movie itself is great but there are much better...but that one 7-8 minute scene is so tense, riveting, funny, tragic, well written and acted, that it is almost too good for that movie.

The "Layla" montage in Goodfellas. This scene is jus tos beautiful, even if it is just a montage of corpses. Poor Frankie Carbone...

As do you.

Hmmm...Forrest Gump had a lot of great scenes, but I think when Jenny dies/he takes care of his son is the best one.

To take a nasty shot at all of you:

the scene in "Galaxy Quest", where the ******ed, Trekkie-like fanboys starts asking stupid fanboy questions to the lead actor of the TV show (Jason Nesmith), and he gets pissed off and screams. "Look ,it's just a damkn TV show, allright!? There is no flux capacitor, there is no tachion pulses, and there is no goddamn ship! OK!?".

It would have been a better scene if they hadn't lifted it from William Shatner's classic appearance on SNL years earlier.

Thank you.

Here's another great music related sequence form my favorite movie:

Almost Famous - Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour" being played as Kate Hudson is getting qualudes pumped from her stomach. The irony of a song so sweet and beautiful being played while a scne so intense is going on shows how much of a genius Cameron Crowe is.

Serenity - The first time we see the ship and the music swells

Star Trek 8 - "The line must be drawn here!"/End scene

The Professional -
Death Of Leon

Shawshank Redemption -
He escapes

Transfomers -
Optimus Prime's Entrance/Battle with Megatron

Back To The Future - George knocks out Biff

and possibly my number one

The Truman Show -
