I know it hasn't come out yet but...

With OYL, I started getting Green Lantern with Issue 10. Now waiting for #11 and 12 while we're at it, there is another book featuring the Lanterns going by the title "Green Lantern Corps". Now since I'm already getting the new restarting Wonder Woman series as well as thinking about the new Flash series, I'am thinking about this as well but might as well ask.

Going by what this title will be about and the soliciats of Issues 1-3, has this title have any interest in any of you?

Yeah.. if its anything like recharge i'm all in. Right now Green lantern isn't working out for me. To me Hal shouldn't be back.

I'm gonna stick with GLC. Loved Recharge, so I have faith.

I'm buying both but if I absolutely had to choose one, I'd take Green Lantern Corps. I'm mostly just reading GL with the hope that it'll get better right now.

Corps, of course, Green Lantern has turned into a generic super hero series. With Green Lantern, you should focus more on the cosmic space cop aspect. GLC does that.

Or for it to come out anytime soon.

Corps. GL is easily Johns weakest book. It really is as generic as they come. And Hal is doing the exact same thing he's always done with little to no aspect of the whole redemption thing Johns talked about. The book is basically one giant cop out that wasnt even worth creating.

Personally. I think it'd be best if Green Lantern were cancelled and Hal and John simply apeared in GLC regularly.

I don't see any signs at redemption. How can he? Its like darth vadar coming back to life and being a jedi again. I'm not buyin it.

Has GL came out yet? I haven't seen it. I guess I should follow it. Maybe it'll get better.

Ion isn't even that fantastic either. I bet Nero is gonna pop up.

Ion's had one issue! Geez, we can't even complain about Kyle being out of character because 1) he wasn't, and 2) even if he was, a year has passed between IC and the Ion series and we have no idea what happened to him in that time.

I agree, Kyle wasnt out of character hes always been slightly emo.

Johns isn't writing this new Green Lantern Corps series so that's a no for me.

And why wouldn't you read iy if Johns isn't writing it? He's not the only writer in the world, you know.

They need to allow someone else to write GL. Johns is great on every other title but this is is weakness, hands down. I know Hal is his baby, but his workload is seriously affecting this title.

That, and I just don't think he can bring a good angle to the book. The whole apeal of Green Lantern is the cosmic epic feel to it. Green Lantern, as it is, feels like a run of the mill, unimaginative super hero book. Even Kyle's series, which had the set up of a more traditional super hero book, was much more cosmic and epic in it's scope, and much more tied to the GLC mythos than Hal's book is now. The real catch that would have saved the current GL series would have been aproaching it from the angle of Hal trying to regain everyone's trust and make amends with his crimes. But, with the yellow fear demon, that ain't happening.

Batman of all people has forgiven him. Batman.

In one of the most forced, crap scenes ever, no less. I would've so loved it if the scene in The OMAC Project Special were all we got of Batman and Hal mending fences before OYL.

Batman forgave him? Batman, the single most conservative, "no one ever really changes" type this side of The Punisher? Good God.

Yeah, its just I hate how he was given a clean slate without having to face responsibility on anything. It was the fear demon, he made me do it.:down
