Next episode is about Hal zapped to a steampunk universe. That's their answer to Green Lantern, the Steam Lantern. I don't know if it's just their version of Hal or what. But i hope they call him Alan.

ugh, I don't. That would be a waste of a character. I want to see the real Alan Scott.

I would LOVE to see if they bring or mention anything remotely close to CRISIS on INFINITE EARTHS dealing with the AntiMonitor.

it also looks like "in this season...a Guardian WILL DIE!" /1987

I just don't think they are as invested in the Green Lantern character anymore and will cut their losses... regardless of critical praise. This show was supposed to be apart of a blossoming Green Lantern brand/franchise, and we know that didn't happen.

They can't even get a toyline out of this show.

To be fair, they weren't even able to get a toy line out of Young Justice.

Seems like the only really successful toylines anymore are Star Wars(duh) and Avengers. TMNT is probably going to be huge too. JLU ran for a while and kind of petered out. But YJ never even fully released. I never saw a single figure of Robin. Just Aqualad, Kid Flash and Speedy.

I don't think that has anything to do with the show, who watches it or critical reception. It has more to do with their liscensees dropping the ball on production and rolling things out. What kind of nitwit doesn't roll out the most popular, big named, characters at the launch of a toyline? You're gonna put out Aqualad before Robin or Superboy? That's stupid.

There was a toyline for Young Justice, though I don't think it was a success.

A lot of cartoons and shows don't seem to be getting toy lines anymore.

As if I needed another reason to be completely indifferent toward How To Train Your Dragon. :o

But I have seen clips and images for this week's Green Lantern...

CN has shown images and clip from episodes they pull out at the last minute. The biggest offender was Brave and the Bold with a Hal Jordan-centered episode.

This is why Cartoon Network's reputation is so negative for the last 10 years.

Has the last minute schedule change been confirmed? My satellite still lists a new episode of yj and gl tomorrow morning.

According to various sources it has been confirmed....check out the YJ thread.

The main website was the one that showed the revised schedule.

I'm pretty sure that alone confirms it.

Small note on the Toyline debate: Giancarlo told me on twitter a while ago they might be getting some out around Christmas time. This was around late-July early-August

Well Mattel has stated on thier message boards that there are no plans for a toyline because stores just don't want to carry GL stock... due to the fact that they couldn't shift the movie products.

Kids don't have time to play with toys in their hands anymore, dude. They've got iPads and game consoles now. :oldrazz:

i was thinking if cn was going to takeGLTAS off the schedule why air new episodes?

Hopefully PlayStation Network and iTunes didn't correct this and released their new episodes as originally planned.
