It looks like we are getting the Blue Lantern Corps this week and Sinestro next week. :hrt::hrt::hrt:

So did I miss an episode?

Didn't Hal get blown to smithereens before the hiatus? Did he return in the last episode to help fight the red lanterns or something?

Hal got bumped into a parallel universe after his battle with the Anti-Monitor. Last week there was an episode called "Steam Lantern" that showed him encountering the hero of that universe--also called the Steam Lantern--and ultimately making his way back to his proper universe.

Anyway, I'm excited for the Blue Lanterns. It feels like something small but important will be lost in the show's version, though, given that Ganthet doesn't have his history with Kyle intact for it. His creating the Blue Lantern Corps was brilliant in the comics in part because he had watched the GL Corps fall around him and then pinned his hopes on Kyle, only to have Kyle exceed his wildest expectations and ultimately recreate the Guardians and the GL Corps. That's basically the perfect allegory for showing the power of hope in the face of darkness and defeat--all was ultimately well thanks to Kyle and Ganthet's working together. But I'm sure it'll be fine in the show regardless. Saint Walker's still cool, and I'm looking forward to the elephant dude.

Lol that was just plain awesome. The high flying fights they had in the sky sort of reminded me of DBZ, really great stuff. Thats how live action Green Lantern should look. Screw it, that one episode was better than the entirety of the Green Lantern movie.

What even is this show? I got 5 minutes into last week's episode and realized nothing of relevance was going to happen. Read a synopsis and yeah, I was right.

Today's episode wasn't much better. If the battery is "off", what is powering Saint Walker and Warth? The battery being in a worm's belly makes it stop working? Sinestro's presence is desperately needed. Next week can't get here soon enough.

Did you watch the first half of the season? It was awesome largely because of Razer, ironically. I thought I would hate him but he turned out to be the most compelling character of the series by far. Saint Walker's pretty cool too. Aya and Kilowog have their moments. Hal... well, he's still not charismatic or interesting or anything, but he hasn't been actively terrible in the show the way he is in the comics, and that makes the show's version something approaching likable.

I dunno, the show in its entirety might just not be for me. Guy's been the only person I came close to liking; which is crazy considering I dislike him in the comics. Actually, I just figured it out, this show is the exact opposite of the comic books. At this rate, I'll hate Sinestro and love Kyle if he shows up.

Good episode of Green Lantern with the debut of Blue Lantern Corps and the returns of Razer, Ganthet, and Saint Walker, plus the debut of Blue Lantern Warth. Plenty of action and character relationships, especially between Razer and Aya, who seems to have an affinity for the Manhunters because they're machines like her, but she does have emotions.

My DVR didn't record today's episode. Gotta catch the repeat tomorrow. Good I take it?

Aya: Your thought processes are clear enough to me.
Me: OOOOOOH SNAP! BURRRRRRRNNNNNN!

Spoons, you crazy. This show is awesome. Then again, I hate almost all of the GL comics, so you may just be right about it having the exact opposite appeal.

My two complaints are mainly how Razer went on the "soulless robot" rant with Aya, which takes several steps backwards on his characterization, and how Aya got her body back completely out of nowhere, with no explanation.

Saint Walker continues to be awesome.

Given that she's lost it before, I figured Aya just keeps spare parts around the ship that she can build new bodies out of.

I thought Razer's tirade was fine too. He's working on his issues, sure, but he's still impulsive and driven by rage more than anything else. He doesn't exactly think before he speaks.

I like the comics, cartoon, and the movies. :woot:

Who wants to take bets on which Corps Razer will end up joining?

he CAN'T be a Red Lantern forever. The ring should have left him a while ago...I expect it to do something of the sort soon.

Seems like hell probably be a Blue Lantern if hes not a Red Lantern anymore.

Why cant he stay a Red Lantern btw?

Great episode. The action was very very good and the subplot with Aya and Razer was good to see.

Yesterday's eppy was amazing, probably the best of the series so far.

Ganthet made an early reference to the battery being "fully operational", suggesting that it was functioning enough to power two lanterns, but not yet capable of doing so for an entire corps. The fact that he said it would take hours ( or maybe it was days? ) to shut off, means it has various levels of power, not just off and on.

The Manhunters being depowered after the worm ate it was puzzling, I admit. I thought the implication was that he digested it, therefore completely destroying it, but we saw it at the end. Maybe we'll get an explanation later on?

But there was so much to like in this eppy. The BL oath was awesome, as was Walker and Warth counseling Razer on respect for all living things. I loved Razer's snap judgment on robotic life that eventually led him to saying, "You have more of a soul than I ever did". That was great character development. The idea of different kinds of rage, including a righteous one, was key for the development of the RLs, especially if they become anti-heroes in the future.

Not to mention the lines, "What is your problem?" from Hal and "Sigh" from Aya floored me.

And did anyone else expect Kilowog to end his line of "You look like Razer. You definitely smell like Razer.." with "maybe y'are Razer"?

Thanks, I'll have to try and find that episode. So is the anti-monitor still around along with the army of Manhunters? Also, in the last episode, after the hiatus, did Kilowagg and Aya fight the Red Lanterns or did they fight the Manhunters? I was lost when Kilowagg said that he knew St. Walker and that they fought the red lanterns. Did that happen in the last episode or sometime before the hiatus?

So, exactly how did the the Blue Lanterns come to be again, or more directly who made St. Walker a Blue Lantern? Wasn't it a planet? Also when did Ganthet get kicked out of the guardians?
