Green Lantern: The Animated Series

The one thing that bothers me about the show is some of the inconsistencies regarding power use. One moment Hal and Kilowog are struggling to bring down a Manhunter, and the next they're ripping through them like hot knives through butter.

Well,... It does tie into the nature of their powerset.

WILL,.. And being limited by what they can concieve,...

Once they beat one ONCE,.. they have a surefire method of doing the next one w/o flopping around trying different things.

Feel free to disagree,.. The flaw I have with the series is the inconsistancy of WILL.

And Aya dying so easily.

Yep, this was no surprise as I don't expect Green Lantern to last. If Man of Steel is successful at the box office, you can bet that Superman will return to animation prominence so that we don't have to deal with Batman's overexposure.

i hope they at least air the remaining episodes

Man, that last episode was great. Aya dying was so sad.

I can't believe this show is gone. It was really well done.

Damnit, none of my favorite shows seem to survive being cancelled.

Sigh,..
To be a fly on the wall when these guys decide to get rid of a show.

................. I just don't get it,...

Why is it whenever I have the slightest bit of interest in a show...It dies prematurely? This, Spectacular Spidey, Wolverine and the X-Men... *sigh* is it worth getting into a super hero cartoon nowadays?

DC needs the eventual JLA movie to be a huge hit. Smallville is over, The Batman trilogy is over, YJ and GL:TAS will be gone. They are losing ground in the non-printed pop culture world.

Smallville's gone, but we have Arrow.
Green Lantern and Young Justice is over, but we're getting Beware the Batman, and Teen Titans.
The Batman trilogy is over, but we'll hopefully get ones for Man of Steel and Justice League. That remains to be seen.
Then there's the Arkham series and Injustice.

I hope so. Marvel has things going on all over the place and they all seem to aid one another in awareness of the company. DC still seems to be relying on Batman and Superman without a lot of vision for the rest of their roster.

Nooo! I really, really hope we get closure then. This really sucks.

Wondering if we'll get any sor tof response. The CN Facebook page is full of rage right now.

Sad that it's cancelled. I don't expect closure, I just hope they'll air all the episodes that have been made.

I'm very sad that it's been cancelled... or as CN would say, ''simply not renewed''. :csad:

It truly was a fantastic show that deserved a longer run, but the writing was on the wall the minute the GL movie failed. No toyline, no real merchandise to speak of, average ratings and not to mention the expense of CG animation...

CN will (I hope) air the remaining episodes and the majority of the storylines should be wrapped up. Oh well...

Wait, is YJ cancelled also?

Please please tell me it isn't so.

unfortunately that is a good qustion

This week's episode "The Loss" was a good one and it was fairly emotional. They killed Aya !!

I liked the appearance of Guardian Scar (though she was not named ?) Man, I was hoping to see more of Ron Pearlman as Sinestro. If Live action Green Lantern movie had been successful, I can bet that they would have never cancelled this show !

Both YJ and GL were not doing well in terms of TV ratings, I mean the demographic consisted of people between 18 to 30 year olds, not something that CN wants, they want kids to watch their programs, not young adults (or adults.)

I have Zero interest in watching "Beware The Batman" and "Teen Titans Go !".

I will miss Green Lantern and Young Justice so much. :(

I think there are three more episode left before the season One wraps up, right ?

Edit: Here's my suggestion to the producers of the show, since kids are not interested in watching this show, why not shift it to CW ? or make a 90 minute direct to DVD animated movie out of YJ and GLTAS so that remaining part of the story could be completed.

GL and YJ both have 7 episodes left to air, so if all goes according to plan, they should be finished by mid-March.

Really disappointed they cancelled this and Young Justice. It seems every time they bring out another animated series from either Marvel or DC they fall over themselves cancelling it as soon as possible. As I did with Avengers EMH, I deleted the series from my DVR, no sense in watching a show I know is just getting cancelled anyway. No sense in bothering with the new Batman either, you know that'll be getting the ax as well in a year.

Sadly, got a response from Cartoon Network, after I sent them a well thought out e-mail.

Hi _____,

Thank you for taking the time to contact Cartoon Network with your comments regarding Young Justice/Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

After much careful consideration, Cartoon Network (U.S.) recently decided not to proceed with production on any additional seasons of Young Justice or Green Lantern: The Animated Series. As a result, Cartoon Network (Canada) will not have any future seasons of this series.

However, we are pleased to inform you that we will continue to air the remainder of Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series episodes in their regular time slots, until the completion of their current seasons. Furthermore, we will begin airing Young Justice Invasion (currently airing on Cartoon Network in the U.S.) in Fall 2013. The exact date and time is yet to be announced.

We realize that you're probably disappointed by this decision, but we hope you are able to find new favourites amongst all of the fantastic shows that air on Cartoon Network!

Again, thanks for taking the time to share your support for Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series with us.

Have a great day,

I want to respond "LOL GOOD ONE", but I don't feel that would get me anywhere.
