Green Lantern: The Animated Series

Though I'm assuming Sinestro was left out in order to prevent stealing away the thunder from any sequels to the movie.

A sequel that probably won't happen.

Sinestro will be in season 2 probably, Johns said they didn't want to tackle his story in the 1st season.
Darn, such a long wait.

Maybe next season? I know this season the Red Lanterns are probably the big bads throughout. With other villains sprinkled in, I know they've fought the Spider Guild already and that Star Sapphire and some Thanagarians are coming up.
I hope they introduce that Starro they used in L.E.G.I.O.N. . That should be season 3 if they do the Sinestro Corps War for season 2.

As for not having Sinestro in the first season of Green Lantern, I think it's a refresher as Red Lanterns have the potential to fill the villainous void. I can't wait for Blue Lantern Saint Walker's debut and I wonder if he'll join the team.

I just gotta repeat how much I'm loving this show. Colors, and space look so fun. I have seen the light and it is good, ALL GREEN LANTERN MOVIES SHOULD BE SET PRIMARILY IN SPACE!!!!

I think it's best to have Green Lantern set in space since Superman and Batman are both set on Earth. I wonder if anyone has asked Bruce Timm if GL is in the same universe as Batman/ Superman/ Batman Beyond/ JL/ JLU.

I think I agree with you.

It's probably because those shows (not that they're bad) have much more content in them, and more characters to keep track of and develop, that you wonder how they're going to juggle all of it (and they do, for the most part).

With a show like this, there's only a few select main characters, so you can enjoy the show and characters more instead of worrying whether one character is going to get the shaft or not. It feels more simple, but it has more of focus, which makes it more entertaining to watch.
Not to mention that the humor and dialogue works a lot better, probably because Bruce Timm helped create it.

It just feels more polished and complete as a show, if that makes any sense.

Exactly, that's why I liked shows about individual characters because they get to focus on more important things than juggling a bunch of different characters.

This is the reason why I'm more excited about THOR II than The Avengers, because they'll actually get to focus on a few characters and I won't have to worry about anyone being "shafted".

If they get a good director and a good script, then it will be definitely a great movie. :yay:

It's in it's own universe. Sorry to disappoint.

They have Alan Taylor, he's relatively unproven but I hear he's directed some of the best episodes of Game of Thrones.

They've also hired Robert Rodat who wrote "Saving Private Ryan" to rewrite the scrip which is great news.

More specifically the Hulk won't be there to steal Thor's "thunder". :cwink:

I just caught up with all the episodes and I LOVE THIS SHOW, Bruce freaking Timm has done it again. This dude has the midas touch with these things I've never seen anything Timm is involved in that I didn't like.

Great episode today, loved the inclusion of....for those who haven't seen it, ill keep it a secret ;).

This show is really starting to hit a home run on top of young justice I'm quite liking this DC Nation block.

I'm starting to think it's impossible for Bruce Timm to create a bad show. This was very well done and the characters really move this thing along. Not the events. They do routine crap and it's still entertaining as sin because it's these guys doing them. I couldn't help but smile at the induction of the newest GL. :yay:

Who was the guy that was schooling Razer? That guy was awesome.

Lost Planet saw the debuts of Mogo and Saint Walker. Hal Jordan and the others used up the battery power to stop an asteroid from hitting Mogo, but they found pirate castaways who tried to steal their ship to get away. The one thing that interests me was Razer being schooled by Saint Walker, whom I hope shows up in the next episode. I see some feelings being developed between Aya and Razer. Another good episode from a series that continues to surprise me.

I liked the introduction of Mogo and Saint Walker. I liked how Saint Walker schooled Razer.

Saint Walker and Mogo were awesome to see. Other than these little easter eggs(Happy Easter everybody :p), I'm not really diggin the show. I know it's a kid's show, but it feels like a show for 5 year olds. And the GLs feel really underpowered.

So, apparently people dying in a cartoon is child friendly? Have you even SEEN Ultimate Spider-Man?

Yeah the one thing I don't like about this show are the constructs and power of the GL's. The Green Lanterns are mad weak, and the constructs are unintuitive and unimaginative. Are these guys really going to keep swinging around the same hammers? All he power in the universe in the ring and your just gonna keep making hammers?

Other than that I love this show.

Idk anything about what kids aren't supposed to see. Is cartoon death hardcore material these days?

Boring constructs makes sense for Hal, but Kilawog usually makes more creative stuff. I'd like to see this show's take on Kyle's constructs.
