MY FAVORITE ASPECT OF THIS SHOW HAS TO BE THE GROWING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RAZER AND AYA.

I MUST HAVE MISSED IT, OR FORGOT, BUT WHY IS AYA MISSING HER LEGS? I THOUGHT SHE COULD JUST MAKE REPLACEMENTS

-DOOM :doom:

i thought i would hate this show.

Man its GREAT. Yeah its kiddie to an extent, but man its entertaining and the action is great, great story arc, and the animation suits it so well!

the planet they just were on, it couldn't be Qward could it?

Another great episode, quite like the inclusion of the yellow, as well as the relationship between aya and razer.

Her legs were the gone as the result of last episode's battle with atrocitus.

I'm really curious to know how long hal's been a GL.

"Fear Itself" was a nice episode with reminded me of old Bruce Timm -BTAS episodes where the focus was on story and characters interaction and emotions rather than action.

This show is nooot generating a lot of buzz. That's a shame. It's really good. This morning was another great episode and I feel like the show has only been getting better and better. Killowog has gotta stop getting caught in traps, though. Maybe Hal should be rescued every now and then.

In Love and War introduces the Star Sapphire Corps, whose ring colors project the power of love. They use the love of others to power themselves and we get to see Carol Ferris for the first time since the pilot episode. Here, she now realizes that Hal is Green Lantern. Kilowog's girlfriend from the last episode has also become a Star Sapphire and Kilowog was pretty useless throughout the episode because of his heartbreak. For the first time, we see what Aya is made of in action and her relationship with Razer is getting stronger. The Star Sapphire Queen's niece should've join Hal and the others in their crusade against the Red Lanterns. Good episode where we see Hal's true heartbreak.

it was a good episode but I was dissapointed how Carol as a SS was a one-off. I wanted her to join Hal.

Same here, especially since Carol was voiced by Jennifer Hale, easily one of the best VAs out there.

Amazing episode.

Quite liked it. Excited for next week. Lots of people there could have joined Hal's side.

I have to imagine they'll be playing up on it in a later episode.

This episode takes us to zamaron, home planet of star sapphires, who despite claiming that they stand for love are really just another selfish corps using power drawn from emotional spectrum.

It was nice to see Carol Ferris, though she gives up her ring I think we may see her again.

Kilowog is becoming a comic relief character, I want to see some serious Kilowog, and his hammer construct is becoming an old trick.

Overall, a good episode. 7/ 10.

I'm actually glad Carol as a SS was a one-off. I think it'll make her inevitable return more impactful.

I have no idea where that notion came from. Kilowog as all drama drama drama this episode.

I'm digging how the show is planting long-term story seeds. They pulled stuff for Razer from the pilot episode today, which I didn't expect at all.

When I heard they were making a GL tv show, and saw the animation style for it, I kinda didn't want to like it out of principle. But I'll be damned if this show isn't thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to it every week.

as do I.

Right now it stands my lookingforwardness goes

Young Justice
Green Lantern
Avengers EMH

In that order, which really surprises me. Since originally I would of put Avengers near the top, but since it's lack of character development and more event development. Although this new season is starting off strong so it may also switch around my thoughts.

Green Lantern could even surpass Young Justice for me, although I love Greg Weisman's writing, Green lantern just flows much easier for me.

But it still hasn't passed it yet =D.

Either way I'm surprised that this thread constantly needs re-bumping every sunday. As opposed to discussion throughout the week. (Like A:EMH and YJ has.)

I don't know why either the show is awesome and its looks great

A:EMH & YJ are really great shows though. GL isn't.

Right now it stands my lookingforwardness goes

Avengers EMH &Young Justice
ThunderCats

Green Lantern
USM

I'm surprised because I'd considered giving up on YJ before they got rid of Robin's stupid disappearing laugh & now I'm having a really hard time choosing which is better between it & EMH.

GL is mediocre. It's only better than USM by default because USM is horrible.

I think I'm done w/both of them for now. It'd be nice if someone PMs me if John or Guy shows up.

The show isn't bad but it has been hit and miss for me. I like Josh Keaton a lot but he never really feels like Hal Jordan to me. His character just sounds more like how I think Kyle Rayner should sound.

I also hate the animation style. Just doesn't work for me. I like Timm's designs and artwork but in this format it doesn't work as well.

The Animation style can put some people off, I can understand that, but the writing and character development is good, it's just that there are few characters present, unlike Avengers EMH or Young Justice which have more than dozens of heroes and villains.

And the fact that stories are simpler but I am sure as the show progresses we will get a lot more characters and more complicated plots.

I do like the simpler format. It's easier to get emotionally invested. In one half hour installment it feels like I've watched an hour. I guess people just can't get past the animation, which I've become a big fan of. I'm actually enjoying this show more than Avengers this season.

This show reminds me why I love shows that focus on one main character and his supporting cast. I actually forgot what that was like. Now I want a Flash show. With this animation style, even. If Beware The Batman is any good then this style might be here to stay.

Also I agree that Kilowog is becoming more...I don't know the word. It's not comic relief but he's pretty much a bigger, tougher, Robin. He gets caught, he gets mind controlled, terrible crap keeps happening to him. He should be a lot tougher than this considering how hard he trains the GLs for situations not nearly as bad. Also some more creativity with the constructs would be nice. The most powerful weapon in the universe and both him and Hal just smash things. I'm hoping to see John Stewart or Kyle Rayner on here one day to wow us with more intricate designs. Or maybe they're saving that for a more experienced character like Sinestro who'll show everyone up.

...Also Larfleeze NEEDS to be on this show. He would really fit well with the style and format. A mystery of dead lanterns returning as orange ghost lanterns? Hell yes.

Agreed, great episode. Great introduction for the next lanterns that will most likely be introduced.

We got red lanterns, The star sapphires and a introduction of the blue lanterns. Well the power that is. I have a feeling this might lead to the blackest night ark.

Regime Change has a double meaning when Ragnar became a Red Lantern and put his sister in prison while the Guardians banish Ganthet from Oa. The Blue Lantern power has come into play that increases the GL's powers while cancelling out the Red Lantern's, including Razer's. I smell Saint Walker making his debut as a Blue Lantern in the next episode.

Regime Change is easily the best episode so far. :D

Spoiler: Summary
Brother of Iolande, Prince Ragnar becomes a Red Lantern and along with other Red lanterns takes over the planet and becomes their King.

We also see guardian Ganthet is expelled from the guardian's council, later on Ganthet uses the power derived from emotion Hope that charges the experimental Blue Lantern, which in turn super charges the rings of all Green lanterns ( Hal, Kilowog, Aya and Iolande.) and de powers all the Red lanterns.

They have done what I thought would be impossible, included many GL stories into this series, amazing.

When they first said the Red Lanterns were going to be the main villains of the show I feared they would become like Cobra be the only villains of the show I'm happy that isn't the case.

I hope that we will soon see Ganthet on Planet Odym starting his own Blue Lantern Corps and recruiting Saint Walker and Brother Wrath.

Maybe guardian Syad will join him too.

:awesome:
