okay, here's are the situations

#1: you are swimming off of Australia..... about 300 feet out, then all of a sudden you spot a 20 foot great white shark swimming no less then 5 feet away from you...

#2 taking a nice hike, by yourself.... you are over 30 minutes from the nearest person... all a sudden, you see a full grown grizzly bear standing 10 feet infront of you...

so, given that you have to be in one of these sticky situations... which one would you pick... the shark, or the bear...?

I'd pick the bear. I'm more comfortable being scared sh**less on land than in the water.

I'm not much of a swimmer, so I don't know if I can just float there and hope the shark goes away (I heard they hunt based on movement). With the bear, I heard that if you hunch down into a ball and don't move, he may just sniff you and leave. I really hope that's the case, let me know if I'm wrong.

I'd have to pick the bear... I've heard of people fighting off bears before, but never a great white..... I always hear that with a grizzly, your supposed to play possum....

I know with a gorilla.... your supposed to stand your ground but not to make eye contact...... that would be hard....

There's also more obstacles to aid your escape with a bear. You'll most likely be in the woods, while with a shark it's just open water. And a great white can swim faster than you. Period.

^ i've seen videos of bears that can run through trees, like actually, break them down with ease.....

Bear! obviously i cant swim so id pretty much be dead but i can run and i reckon the stench in my pants from seeing the bear may not help his appetite!

I'd have to say the bear aswell... simply because there's more of a chance to either hide or escape, plus it's easier to get out of view

i'd pick the bear every time due to not being able to swim!!

besides it might be a nice bear...or a grizzly care bear...and all great white sharks are monsters!

With a bear you can see were it's going and have a chance of defending yourself. With a shark you don't have a clue were and when it's coming.

This thread sets the Suck-Bar.

Just to be clear, the Suck-Bar is kind of like a Limbo bar in that the lower the bar goes, the worse it gets.

At least my remains will eventually be found after getting killed by the bear. :csad:

The bear is less likely to attack you, and you can get away more easily. So that.
