Group Memberships

In everyone's profile, there's a section called "Group Memberships." What is it? How long has it been around? Why is it that nobody is a member of any public groups?

If the function is broken, is it possible to get it back up and running?

Just curious.

It's been around for a few years now. It's not used because it messes with other functionality that we pretty much based the entire board around.

It's been used from time to time, like when Malice tried to create user-made detailed faq's, but it's pretty much just an option that comes with vBulletin that the Hype doesn't use.

Well technically groups are MASSIVELY used with Hype!....
But Public Groups, are not entirely used.
