Guns N' Roses: A Thread 15 Years In The Making

Read through the thread last night, hadn't noticed it before. Have to say thanks for the link to the Axl Rose stuff on the mygnr forum, really good read, interesting that he said he did not get the rights to the name in the way that has normally been reported(saying he'd leave the UYI tour or else), I believe him.
Re: Chinese Democracy...I avoided the bootlegs, demos, leaks for the most part(heard some bits and pieces) as i wanted to hear it as it was intended, I was really shocked at how good it turned out to be. I thought he would turn in a decent album but didn't think there would be songs that were as good as the old stuff. Very happy with the album, interestingly I think the two weakest tracks are the ones that were released legit before the album..Chinese Democracy and Shackler's Revenge.
Prostitute, Street of Dreams, Madagascar, If the world, There was a time, This I love, are probably my favs.
My best friend at school was a major GnR fan, I was introduced to them(and rock music in general) through him. Much drinking was done to all the albums.

Can someone here copy and paste the Axle stuff from GNR forum? I'd rather not wade through the useless crap to get to his answers.

I feel honored axl actually answerd my questions when he was on the fan forums

in other news Slash will be on American Idol Next week

I asked him to wear his white underwear again on stage and he laughed , I made my favorite famous person laugh it was actually a honor that laugh was.

I feel like I accomplished somthing from it and he also ended his forum questions with me maybe he saved best for last

I also asked him several more questions about 10 and he answerd them all there all in order on one of the transcripts

I refer to them as booty shorts, and I was actually thinking about asking why he wore them. Was it a thing about being comfortable or was he trying to show of his package?

I think he wore them as a joke to look funny. Hes a pretty funny person The Questions I asked him were intended to bring the playfull side out in him and it worked.

I think it was to be comfortable, he was running around the stage for like 2-3 hours every show. Still, he looked like a badass. He's the only guy that can only be wearing cycling shorts and combat boots and still look cool.

He did whatever he wanted and wore whatever he wanted that adds to being badass being your own person showing up late to concerts just because you feel like it makes him a real rockstar

I heard that during U2's concert in Rose Bowl in past weekend, GnR made an appearance with Slash, who performed "Sweet Child 'O Mine". Has anyone heard about this? I wish I were there if this is true.

Axl and Slash? I seriously doubt that.

From what i read, They played SCOM with Fergie and Slash.

Wow, they're finally doing a tour. That's pretty crazy.

Here's hoping Axl doesn't pull a no-show.

I've heard alot of people really get let down a couple times because Axl pulled a no-show, down in New Jersey. Lots of broken hearts over some of those.

Broken hearts you say?

How bout broken cities, let's hope there aren't anymore riots.

I don't think rioting will happen, even if he doesn't show up. GNR are nowhere near the level of fame they were at when that s**t went down.

Has anyone listened to this yet, it's only out in Japan i think? It's pretty sweeet!

I have my ticket for the Toronto show. GNR is my favorite band and as much as I love music, its the only band that I know exactly where I was when I first heard them.

I found "WAR:The unauthorized biography of W. Axl Rose" by Mick Wall (yes, that Mick Wall) for 10 bucks at chapters and am currently reading it.
