Does anyone remember that aside from the regular series, there was another animated Guyver film. It was a sort of "one shot" type story. The animation was different from the regular show aswell. I forgot what the exact name of the film was. It would be awesome to see a 3rd live action film. The 2nd one was great no matter how campy some may find it.

Hasn't been released on DVD yet. At least not in America, and not officially.

I know it got released on VHS a long time ago over here, so SOMEONE has the rights to it. I guess it's just a matter of time since every other piece of Guyver media has been re-released (save for the manga).

I would realy like a guyver movie if they don't mess it up with horrible CG. Just get a bigger budget and detail the suits more and touch it up with CG.

I know it would be rude and illegal. I'd probably start to pay up for it as the police officer is trying to cuff me. I'd get charged with assault/misdemeanor, theft, and resistance of arrest. But at least I'd get to hold that figure for a while.

The show's being produced by ADV and there's been a recent surge in Guyver merchandise in America, so I say that it'll be here in no time. Probably once the series finishes its first season in Japan. So mid-late 2006 I'm guessing.

I think the character designs look fantastic. Tetsurou looks considerably less ugly but, for some odd reason, reminds me of Popeye.

I especially like the Zoanoids. They looks exactly like the originals just drawn better. Good stuff.

BUMB remember to put all new news and videos in this thread for all to see. I wonder how fluid the animation will be this time around. I realy hope it's as fluid as The Batman on WB.

What about the "icky-factor"? will we still see the grotesque gore we saw in the original series? or will it be dulled down? the gore was somewhat intricate in design. The characters and backgrounds for this new/revamp series looks less-intricate. Don't get me wrong, The suit looks the same in complexity. It's not like everything was well crafted in the old series but it had a certain something that made it likeable. I guess this new design and animation will take some getting used to. I really hope it's not slapped together like some Saturday morning cartoon.
