Does anyone here read it? I think it's awesome for a horror comic series. I've also heard rumors that there's a movie to it being made, and Megan Fox is interested in starring as Cassie(the main protagonist of the series). It's more of an indie title, but I noticed there was a lack of places to discuss it, so I thought I'd bring it up here.

Yeah, I've read all of the specials and every issue of the regular title up to issue #10... A pretty good read, kinda like Buffy remade by Rob Zombie... Only, y'know... Not terrible.

Nice thread. Long overdue.

I read it religiously, and then two formative events happened that led to my stopping. They didn't occur simultaneously, though...

1) Hack/Slash developed some sort of partnership with Suicide Girls. Blech.

2) I got laid. ;)

Problem with SuicideGirls? Do you not like hot girls? But yeah What does you getting laid have to do with reading Hack/Slash? I get laid pretty often and it doesn't cause a conflict of interest. If you had something stupid to say, then why even post a comment?:woot: Now that I'm through with him, We can continue the discussion. I'm waiting to get the 2nd and 4th graphic novels in at my local comic shop. Also right now the story line is crossing over with the whole Reanimator thing, which was a pretty good movie in the first place. I think the series keeps getting better as it goes on.

While the concept of hot goth chicks gathered together on a website where they display themselves is appealing, in my experience, the authentic goth/punk chicks - be they hot or not - would be loathe to objectify themselves in such a way.

I was joking, and there wasn't really any correlation. I was alluding to the fact that a serious contribution to my interest in the title was Cassie Hack, and her hotness factor.

Chill out, man.

Anyway, as I wrote, I was an avid reader, and I enjoyed the series, but after I got married I had to budget myself considerably, and Hack/Slash bit the dust. I am waiting on the new trades, though...

Your points are all very well taken. In my experience, often considered part of said subculture, "gothic" girls, real ones at that probably would never display themselves in that way. Sorry I got onto you, I didn't know you were joking, and I understand the budgeting yourself thing. Fortunately my wife buys me just about anything I want, lol. What's up with Omnibus? What is it exactly? All I know is the one of Hack/Slash is impossible to find. I'm hoping my comic shop can get those other graphic novels in, or otherwise I'll have to order from DevilsDue.com

I think the Omnibus collects everything, including First Cut, Death By Sequel and the later stuff.

I ordered Death by Sequel and Revenge of The Return, and hopefully they'll be in before Christmas. I wish my poor little Hack/Slash thread would get some more attention. Is there no love for indie comics???:csad:

Weird that a thread on an active comic series has been so quiet for so long, but I wanted to pose a question and see if I could get an answer. Does anyone happen to know the release date for Hack/Slash #24? I can't seem to find much help from the official DDP website. Thanks.

That's kind of the point. Not everything has to be Shakespeare. It's just a fun comic series for cheap jokes and cool monsters. It's definitely not to be taken seriously.
