Halle Berry, Anna Paquin Hate Being X-Men?

Halle said on UK tv that she loves playing storm and she wouldn't mind coming back to da X4 if there is one! But I wouldn't be surprised Anna said that. I would have been annoyed if I played Rogue and she done nothing in the films!

(b) james chose to do some other superhero movie over x3. so it's his fault cyclops isn't in the movie, not hugh, halle, ratner, buddah, santa, jesus or any other beloved children's characters we'd like to point the blame for that.

First off, yellow ranger, I never said that hugh, halle, ratner, buddah, santa, jesus or anyone else was to blame for Cyclops not being in the movie. Did we see the same movie? Cyclops WAS IN the movie. Halle Berry even admitted in interviews that she wanted her role in X-men to be bigger. And if you can recall pre-production reports for X3, the character of storm was probably going to be written off if not given a smaller role. Halle Berry whined about not having a big role in the two previous films and how she got to wear the cape but never flew? Do you think she was complaining for the fans and the portrayal of storm or because she's superstar Halle Berry and has to be a headliner. Either way, Singer got screwed by Fox (X2 did big at the box office and even Singer has said in interviews how x3 was moving along too slow...) cyclops got shafted, Colossus, Iceman, Kitty, and Rogue all got shafted... But hey, we get to see a touching eulogy given by Halle Berry! whoohooo!!! Don't get it twisted, I love Halle Berry, shes a beautiful person... But when you see a child whine to get their way, its ridiculous... and again, yes, i really did wish catwoman would have been better!

(a) yes, cyclops was in the movie for 6 minutes.
(b) halle didn't say she wanted a bigger role, she said if storm is on screen for 5 minutes, make those 5 minutes matter and make her say something other than 'come on kids, get on the plane'. she had other movies lined up and said she didn't want to spend nine months doing x-men if all she was going to do is stand around for eye-candy. that's why she said she wouldn't return.
(c) all of halle's 'whining' got most storm fans what they wanted. she was propably pushing the issue for both herself and the fans. storm fans didn't like storm in the first movies, halle spoke up because she was playing the character and taking the heat, and now most storm fans are satisfied.
(d) kitty hardly got shafted. she got to do something with the screentime she was given.

if whatever actor is playing your favorite x-men character fights to get that character better represented on screen, would you be angry with the actor?

First off, to me, I think Rogue, Cyke, even the new comer Angel, and yes Jean all got raped in the X-Men movie verse especially in X3. What was the purpose of putting Angel in the X3 movie? and he didn't do S***. I was so pissed by that. Not to mention Cyke's little bit scenes, which moved sooo fast and they didn't have no emotion in the scene where he reunites with his woman. It was just blah. Jean had good camera time, however in X3, they didn't make her do crap, just stand and watch Magneto do stuff. She's suppose to be the lead villian. Also no fire, and no freakin fire bird which was shown in X2. I mean we all saw the Phoenix fire bird swimming under the waters surface in X2. Now Rogue is a character who i thought was going to show up at the end of the movie and fight Jug, But she didn't. Why would Rogue cure herself? why? Ratner sucks. I wish I directed this movie because they keep adding characters and not using them and still forgetting about the good characters who started the movie. Colossus didn't have to be in this movie, Kitty didn't have to be in this movie, also alot of those crappy side characters didn't have to be in this movie. But what is done is done, Poor Jean, Cyke, Rogue, and Angel. Four of my Fav. characters tainted and destoryed. I hope if there is an X4 they'll chose an director that is a fan and knows what he's doing. Also someone who will fix the crap that Ratner did.

Rogue was never a great choice in this universe of the movies. Without Ms. Marvel to give Rogue flight, super-strength, and invulnerability, all we have is power-absorbing Rogue, and she's not very useful like that. She can't do it without hurting someone, and she doesn't retain the powers very long.

She's also a bit of a deus ex machina in that way-- She could ruin the whole climax by simply stealing Jean's powers and destroying all the bad guys. That's hardly interesting in a movie, to have the major antagonist taken down with a touch...

They need to get Rogue some more powers if they're going to make another X-Men movie.

Well, I'm pretty sure if they have an X4 with Sinister in it, they'll put Gambit in the movie since Gambit would transition better with Sinister as a villain. I think that would give Rogue alot to do in a movie, don't you think? But I think without her getting super strength, Rogue's ability is pretty much a weak in battle ability. They need to really beef up Rogue's powers to include the super strength she exhibited in the comics. Then she could be a more active character in the movies.
