As most of you know... Rob Zombie (Devils rejects) is going to be directing the remake of the 1970's horror classic... Halloween
Lets Chat...

Well isn't it a prequel? I think I heard on joblo it was a prequel... anyways it's got to be classic mask, I think the wardrobe will change though, characters I have no clue, and theme well it's been changed a little but I still like it. This movie is gonna own.

its half prequel half remake- or so zombie said...
it takes place in 76(i beleive) still
and sum characters will be brought back... LOOMIS and LAURIE STRODE... I beleive...

Rod Zombie will do something different, but still stay true to what made Halloween good in the first place.

Whoever owns the rights to the franchise probably realised they had to do something drastic to save the franchise... like, actually take it seriously, hand it over to a good director who will do something different, and just relaunch the franchise so to speak.

well, John Carpenter gave him the Green light so... Thats good enough for me...
It comes out Halloween 07
i wish it were this year...
but i have Saw 3 and TCM the beginning to look forward to...
yes i am the biggest horror fan at 15 years old...

well i have it recorded and your wrong...
its half remake half prequel... since in the original there was only like 5 mins in the beginning to set up michaels urge to kill
hes going to take more time in this one...
and the mask is going to be similar...

i think he could pull it off but he will be nothing like Donald Pleasence...
I cant think of a cast yet... :/ but i'll ask later about certain people you might think could pull the role off..

my hope is that the costume department makes all of the actors look like they were from that time period. i would be disappointed if there were cell phones and the like in the remake. it would sort of lose its charm.

actually i've seen him act just like Pleasance/can't think of anyone else who could do it.

Frankly I am kinda sad Rob is remaking a film, since what I really liked about Devil's Rejects/House of 1000 Corpses is how original and interesting the characters were.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this new Halloween film. As you can tell by my user name, I'm a huge fan of these films, namely the original. I don't think it's necessary for it to be remade, but I'll see how it turns out, obviously.

I can't wait for some more news.

it might be necessary to remake it just to get new fans interested. children of the 80's are getting older, afterall. if it makes you feel better Black Christmas is being remade also.

I don't have so much faith in Mr. Zombie. I don't believe his movies are that good, although they certainly have their fans.

Hopefully, he pleases me with this new film. As I said, I'm cautiously optimistic.
