Rob Zombie recycling "Halloween"

There is an interview with Wes Craven in the new TV Guide. He says that people will eventually have to accept that remakes are a legitiment art form as well. Just like song remixes. It was a good point.

But some remakes are about as much of art as a 5 year old's s**tty toilet paper.

not all remakes are though. john carpenter's The Thing was a remake that not surpassed it's original, but became one of the greatest horror films of all time.

I think Rob Zombie is the perfect person to remake this. He seems to be the only guy who gets what horror is about.

Because H20 drove the franchise so far into the ground by turning the franchise into a money-sucking ****e to whatever was popular with the mainstream at a given time and ignoring whatever they felt it was convenient in the franchise history to ignore that the only thing left for the franchise is a reboot.

H20 ?? ..... you mean the best Halloween movie since Halloween 2 ???

We don't know enough about this new Halloween to condemn it at all really.

Judging from what I've heard and read, it could be interesting if done right. I'm a huge fan of House of A 1000 Corpses and a huge fan of the Devil's Rejects as well. In the end, I have a feeling Rob will do it justice as he's a horror fan himself and understands the material.

I'd rather have him doing it than say Ratner. I'm really curious as to how Zombie will do this with his vision.

H20 definitely wasn't the worse Halloween at all. That honor goes to Resurrection.
