This is tied for the best Halo short they've made, along with the freeze-frame battlefield scene for Halo 3.

Proves once again the potential a live-action franchise could fulfill. Someone needs to get off their ass and work something out with Spielberg.

Rupert Sanders, aka the guy who directed all the "Believe" ads for Halo 3.

It's not a huge loss. I still think Neill's style suits Half-Life and COD more than it ever did for Halo.

This ODST trailer and the Halo 3 Believe ads capture the feeling of this franchise more than Neill's shorts, imo. Incidentally, the guy who directed these is also an up-and-coming film director himself. Last I heard he was helming a script that was supposed to be directed by Ridley Scott. He's in negotiations with Leo Dicaprio's production company.

So who knows, he could break through. Zack Snyder and David Fincher came from the same background. MS certainly believes in his ability, and so do the fanbase.

I'd kill for him or Niel to do the Halo film. Microsoft really needs to get on the ball with this movie. It can be PG-13 for all I care. The games aren't that bloody, I don't even see how they get a M- Rating.

If you like multiplayer games go for it. 360 has the best online gaming experience, while PS3 has the best solo games.

I only want a PS3 because of it's single player games (Uncharted, LBP, GOW3, MGS4) none of it's multiplayer games look that appealing.

ya i got a ps3, its definitely worth it for the blu ray player alone if u like to watch movies. MAG and a few other games are looking pretty good as well, doesnt hurt to have free internet too.

ill most likely end up gettin a 360, ive seen some decent bundle deals for 200, but then they always throw in games like kungfu panda that just make me go bleh, i dont want that.

I've played all those and I can tell you Mass Effect has the best single player ever made. It's not even close.

honestly?? i know we're all fanboys here... but truthfully the new campaign and firefight is the only new things...

theres no matchmaking on either...

and can someone please explain to me what exactly firefight is and why its so good???

Firefight is like GOW2's Horde Mode. You have 7 shared lives with you're teammates. Halo3 Skulls turn on at random after every wave/set.

Plus you also get the whole H3 Multiplayer experience with ODST. You can delete the map packs if you downloaded them and just play them of the H3 Mythic Disk. It comes with all the maps plus 3 new ones.

and idk if 3 new maps are worth it... what if you have all the others?? im sure the 3 new ones will be DLC soon

Yeah, just survive as long as you can. Five waves make up a round. Three rounds in a set. After every set you get a bonus round with all skulls on.

I don't think they'll have the last 3 maps as DLC. You'll need those maps if you want to get Recon. Bungie guys said there's no plan for DLC at the moment, of course that can change but that'd be pretty messed up if they did have the as DLC.

Oh and you also get an invitation to the Halo Reach beta when it goes live.
