HALO 3 Pre-Orders Start Today At EB/GameStop!

Thanks to EB/GameStop employee tipsters, we're able to inform you that starting tomorrow, November 1, you'll be able to pre-order Halo 3 in all its various versions -- standard, collector's, Legendary. Pre-orders are $5, $10, $25 depending on which SKU you're going after. So over a year before the games release, you're now able to put $25 down on the Legendary copy of the game and let EB/GameStop collect some nice interest on it. If the pre-order downpayment is $25, how much is the game going to cost? Online retailers have the Legendary SKU at $99.99 -- is that the right price?

I think it's pointless to preorder a game this far away from launch. Especially since you don't know what features the Special Edition are going to have and how much the Legendary Edition costs. I'll wait until that's confirmed. Then I'll be at EB right away. It'll probably be unveiled on EGM's 17-page spread in a few weeks.

Wow, that's really a lot cheaper then I expected it to be.. $40 bucks for 3 extra discs and a full size helmet replica of Master Chief? That's a steal.. I might have to preorder this this weekend now.. Because I bet those are gonna fly off the shelf.

I preordered the Collector's Edition (I know, I know, not Legendary ), but I was able to pay all of that off.

I also finished off GoW, so that's ready to pick up next week

That's what the magazines say. Even a minibust goes for like $40 so it's worth it in my book. I really hope it's true. We should find out today as EGM mags are getting delivered. Hopefully when I get home from college tonight, it'll be there waiting for me.

I think the thing next to it is a stand for the helmet. I saw another picture a few days ago ontop of something that looked like it.

i think that the helmet stand hold the game and the extra discs and the actual helmet covers it.

on a side note, i put $50 on the legendary version!
