Scores for games almost seem pointless these days, ok perhaps a single player campaign which isnt going to change much but a lot of these games change a lot with add-ons, patches and can look in a very different state 6/12 months down the line with a lot more content added, Ghost Recon Brekpoint has changed a lot for the better in 3 years.
Games seem to have a lot longer life these days, released in almost beta states then worked on to improve all the problems which almost always occur at launch and the community is almost like the quality control these days having to rant and rave to get things fixed.
Games like Battlefield barely work out the box but after a few months seem to iron out the issues and are much better experience. Not sure that worked for Cyberpunk 2077 mind but hey
Halo's multiplayer has massive potential but I suspect it will look very different in a years time, with a couple battle passes completed by everyone to give us a lot more customizing options and with more maps/weapons/modes and not to mention the very likely Halo battle royale which seems to be an open secret coming to the game.
Its not always right or great for gamers this way but seems to be the way the industry is these days. Anyway enough of my soap box rant.
