not sure if that trailer was directed by neill blomkamp or not (imdb forums say it was), but its without a doubt EXACTLY neills style.

if HE DID direct that... do you like the style they're going for?


im not a halo fan but i think it looks unique and cool.

It was okay, way too retro 80s. Hell, even the 80s come backs aren't that 80s in style anymore. I don't think it fits for the film. I've personally always saw Spielberg's world or a Bay type world when it comes to cinematography and lighting. Maybe even the guy who directed 'Live Free or Die Hard' with the dark blues and some greens... but, this is way too light!!! Fix the contrast and they could have something- it was just way too BRIGHT!

And I'm not that big of a Halo fan, really, I just like the look of the game. In the vid there really wasn't a lot of color, to even a normal film type level, and contrast seemed to be gone.... maybe it was just my media player that made it look that way though?

Might also just be production quality that is reflecting in that. With more $$$ and better actors, this could have been good. Something just seems off...

The CGI seems pretty preliminary, and there a bunch of random faceless actors, so I think (I hope) this is a proof of concept thing, and/or they wanted to release something as soon as possible.

it wasnt scrapped, it's just on hold...and it's in the movie forum because it was directed by the guy who was last attatched to direct the movie, and had visfx provided by WETA workshop, the VFX studio attatched to the movie...

I heard this was just a promotional thing to see if they could get some more money to back the scripting and making of the movie, it was just showing how they were gonna try to stick to the source material and gain support from fans.

Better than all the aliens after 3 hey, this trailer was more than half decent and got me more excited than anything other than transformers even AvP2 aint got me psyched yet...still waiting for the fabled trailer if that exists even?

How do the graphics suck? Halo 2 was one of the best looking games on the XBox when it came out.
