good box office = sequels. sequels = further adventures of characters we love.

Good box office of crappy films = crappy sequels of crappy movies = further adventures of good characters in unfaithful, basterdized universe in which they are cruelly raped and mutilated.

No, actually I look at The Fifth Element realising there's something in each scene that makes it bad, which is wierd because usually even the worst movies have at least something redeemable. Something at least comical.

So in that sense, The Fifth Element is worse than what's actually possible in film making.

Actually, only a few of those are from his list. read it again, and read mine. No one can deny some of those movies are classics, even someone who likes soldier, snatch or fifth element.


and a professional reviewer is just one person's opinion, box office is millions of people speaking with their wallets on what they wanted to see. and people wanted to see x3 more than supes, because supes is no longer that relevent, unless its in smallville which is more about good characters and less about fighting camp bald guys.

The movies good, I've seen it well over 20 times and I can still watch it, thats how I KNOW its good. Things from it still interest me, I didn't come away from the watching it the first time and say "I should have just burned my money." like I did when I got out of X-men 3.
