Yeah what the cool dude said:marv:

But well no doubt still see it :(

Honestly, has there been ANY progress on this movie? Once in a while, Bungie will update its site with "So-and-so visited Peter Jackson in New Zealand today to discuss the movie," but that is it.

Where the hell is the director? Where the hell is the cast?

Halo: The Movie....that's still happening?

No news over the past couple of months...maybe it's filming in secret.

lets all hope it isnt done all on computer

And like it's video game counterpart, it will make a lot of money and the sequels will be a rehash of the original.

Movies take a while to make also with a movie like this, it could very well end up in pre-production hell.

Honestly, unless the budget for the movie is outrageously high, I don't think there's a chance it'll bomb.

Dang, Was it Del Toro or Peter Jackson for directing Halo?
I get those two confused now and I forgot what I read a while ago about the Halo movie.

Del Toro might be directing, he siad he wanted to do hellboy 2 first, but seeing as how the hellboy franchise is now studio-less, he'll more than likely do Halo.
And peter jackson is the producer(confirmed)

That's a good point.

He might as well work on Halo now.

Jackson could use a break. He's done Lord of the Rings and Kong, 4 big movies within 5 years.

According to the IMDb, the Halo movie has been pushed back from its original summer 2007 release schedule to sometime in 2008. This is the first time that the movie is listed as a 2008 release by a serious publication such as the IMDb.

The directorless film adaptation of Microsoft's popular video game will be executive produced by triple-Academy Award winners Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh via their WingNut Films banner. The Halo script was penned by Alex Garland (28 Days Later), who was paid $1 million by Microsoft to write a script that met Bungie's approval.

With the third installment in the game series rumored to be connected with the silver screen adaptation, could the delay of the movie affect the release of Halo 3 or are they both planned to arrive in winter 2007/2008? According to Bungie, Halo 3 and the Halo movie will not affect each other in terms of release dates.
