Handling The Visual Effects

-use the real building in close ups for filming.
-use CGI for the background where you add epic clouds, extra buildings,.....

Looking at that great Honda Accord commercial again, I'd like to watch Superman fly and think it would be something fun/cool to do much like the feeling I got when watching Iron Man.

I don't think it was just a CGI Suit more like a CGI Superman body double

That way, they don't have to worry about the body of the actor, and it will look really different when he is Clark, having his "normal" body, when he needs to be normal, and adding a comic book type body when he is superman

First off, this isn't a Spiderman 3 movie bashing thread. The quality of story has nothing to do with the effects.

I don't think wrinkles would really be the thing to want to adopt a cgi costume. Yeah it sucks but then lighting is more of a pain in the ass. A "comic book type body" really comes off as unrealistic. Superman looks like a big/muscular guy but he isn't a steroid looking freak. There are just much more easier ways to do muscle(which has honestly not been a problem til Routh and that had more to do with the construction and material of the suit then the actor). Muscles suits and thinner/muscle friendly materials. A real suit is far more predictable/controllable.

I honestly think that if this cgi superman is true, then its simply a test. Superman is going to be cgi in some scenes because no actor in any harness and pull off some of Supermans suits without building a large contraption.

I hope this whole CGI superman isn't derived from the Christopher Reeve CG image.
I have to search for it there i know there was a CG render of Christopher Reeve as Superman. It's been years since i saw that pic.
Lemme see if i can google that image

I will say this. I predict this will be the most visually stunning superhero movie of all time. PERIOD. I believe getting a visually impressive director in Snyder will prove to be a genius move by Nolan. I'm actually sooo glad Nolan isn't the director, because we can get a look that separates this from Batman Begins, while still getting the production knowledge of how to setup a successful franchise that can stand on its own.

This is Snyder.
Meaning? This will be the first time since his debut film that he won't be directing a stylized interpretation of a source material. I'd be very surprised if he didn't take advantage of location shooting.
