Revenge of the Fallen Visual Effects Oscar?

Like the movie or not you can't deny the effects were pretty sweet. And seeing as how it doesn't have any competition so far I can see it winning the Oscar for visual effects.

The first got a nomination, so it's not so unlikely this one'll, too.

One thing is to be nominated. Another is to actually win. I think it could win. Nothing else, so far, has been released that could beat it.

I haven't seen it yet, but, from what I've been told, the strongest thing the film brings to the table is its visual effects.

no matter what there is noooooooooooo chance that TF2 gets the oscar . only because of Avatar. Cameron is for 20 years making groundbreaking effects .

i think it will not be a problem to ILM because they will know that avatar will be huge. ILM respects cameron because of him they are where they are. he was pushing them with Abbys and terminator. and now he is doing the same with WETA.

but its a crime that golden compass won in 2008.

I honestly doubt that ROTF will win the Oscar for VFX . Like many said , Avatar will most likely win it given the amount of praise it's gotten from Spielberg , Peter Jackson and other.



It'll get a nomination.
However i do think the first movie should've won the oscar

Based on early word it seems like Avatar has revolutionary effects so it probably will win, But I feel the Transformers franchise is owed that award at some point. Golden Compass winning that year is still ridiculous.

Anyways, i think itll win. Bay had 200 million. Half of which was probably spent on VFX.
